FAVORITE, not the best. My choice has to be American Gangster. I could watch that movie from any point and keep watching until the end. It is truly a masterpiece for me with it's amazing replay value.

Best I would say Gladiator but it's not my favorite of his.
Fav are Alien and Blade Runner.

Oh sorry I thought you meant his best movie. His best movie is Alien over Blade Runner just about. But my favourite movie of his is Blade Runner.

I do like Gladiator, followed closely by The Kingdom Of Heaven, Body Of Lies, & Black Hawk Down.

'Legend' is one of my favourite films of all time 'The Duellists' 'Kingdom of Heaven' and 'Alien' are also pretty good, not a big fan of 'Blade Runner', haven't seen much of his other stuff.

Gladiator is my favorite. I love watching that movie. Tremendous entertainment.

I like the extended version of Kingdom of Heaven.

Scott also had his hand in producing a couple nice films: Tristan and Isolde, and 1492 (about Christopher Columbus)

Best? Favorite? Argh. Leaning towards Alien but I'm a big fan of Gladiator. I may say Alien is far more impressive, given he's not a fan of horror at all but the film itself does not imply that I think. It was done on a relatively cheap budget and is still pretty terrifying to this day. I would almost argue Alien is a must-see film whereas Gladiator is recommended but you can afford to miss it.

1. Blade Runner
2. Kingdom of Heaven
3. Gladiator
4. Alien
5. Legend

Oh s***, totally meant "favorite, not best."

I'll never understand the love for Gladiator...

Blade Runner is my favorite of him. Blade Runner is in my top of all time.

I gotta say, in spite of my love for Alien, Blade Runner, Gladiator, American Gangster and The Martian, I think I love Kingdom of Heaven the most, but more specifically, the director's cut of that film, which is completely different from the theatrical. I mean the amount of substance there is truly remarkable, it's such a pity they cut it because of test audiences with poor attention spans.

1. Alien
2. The Martian
3. Gladiator

I confess that I haven't yet seen Blade Runner, but I plan on watching it soon.

1.) Gladiator

2.) Blade Runner (Final Cut)

3.) American Gangster

Honorable mention: Kingdom Of Heaven (Director's Cut)

Hannibal was tremendous and it would've higher on my list if either A.) Jodie Foster returned or B.) It was more faithful to the novel.

Of course it comes down to either Alien or Blade Runner. Both are masterpieces but I've always been a little bit partial to Blade Runner. It's the first one I saw and I lucked out because it happened to be the director's cut.

Scott's had a weird run. He began with two back-to-back masterworks but since then his output has varied wildly. Guy's made a lot of different kind of movies.

This'll be hard, since he's my favourite director

1. Alien
2. Blade Runner
3. Kingdom of Heaven: Director's Cut
4. The Martian
5. Gladiator
6. American Gangster
7. Black Hawk Down
8. Prometheus
9. Hannibal
10. Black Rain
