In terms of season finales, there´s the first, second and fourth season finales of The X-Files, the first, fourth and fifth season finales of 24, the second season finale of Alias, the first season finale of BSG.

In terms of series finale, it´s hard to think of one now, a show usually ends when it´s grown stale of ideas and is no longer doing well on ratings, rare series finales are satisfying. The Friends finale comes to mind.

I personally enjoyed Angel's season finale, it was great not to have everything wrapped up nicely... the characters would not have had their lives work out perfectly in the end, evil never truly goes away and so our heroes don't rest. It is how I expected the characters to go out, fighting. Plus there is the last few lines.

The horde is advancing and our heroes meet them with determination in their eyes.

Angel- Personally, I want to slay the dragon. Lets go to work.

Then we fade to black.

Tim: The people you work with, are people you were just thrown together with. You don't know them, it wasn't your choice. And yet you spend more time with them than you do your friends or your family, but probably all you've got in common, is the fact that you walk around on the same bit of carpet for eight hours a day. And so, obviously, when someone comes in, who you, you have a connection with-yeah. And Dawn was a ray of sunshine in my life. It meant a lot. But if I'm really being honest, I never really thought it would have a happy ending. I don't know what a happy ending is. Life isn't about endings is it? It's a series of moments, and erm...it's like if you turn the camera off, it's not an ending is it? I'm still here, my life's not over. Come back here in ten years, see how I'm doing then. Because I could be married with kids, you don't know. Life just goes on.


Loved the happy ending.

Weve only had the little bits of info that were leaked and rumours. Fred was supposed to return but keeping Illyrias powers, Gunn was going to be turned into a vamp and there was a rumour that Seth Green would join as Oz.

How the hell were they going to bring Fred back? Didn't they spend an episode explaining how Fred could never,never,under any circumstances whatsoever be brought back to life?

Six Feet Under Every bodies Waiting

An amazing finale to an extraordinary show. It wrapped everything up that needed to be, and really focused on what the show was about, life and death. The last 10 minutes of the show gives me chills.

2) Sex and the City An American Girl In Paris Part Deux

One of my favorite shows ended perfectly. Everything I wanted to happen did, and Samantha finally found love. Carrie and Big finally ended up together.

3) Buffy the Vampire Slayer Chosen

Even if the show didn't end at it's peak, this was a pretty good sendoff. I loved that it went back to it's roots. And every character got their proper ending. Special Effects were awesome for a tv show, and especially a UPN one

4) Angel Not Fade Away

Even though it ended too soon, it got the proper finale. I didn't feel that Wesley should have died. It felt like he just died because someone needed to die for the finale. The ending of the show was perfect, "keep on fighting". But I didn't like that there wasn't any memorable fight scene from the episode.


5) Friends The Last One

Even though it dragged a little, it was a perfect sendoff. I loved the mentions to past seasons. Ross and Rachel got back together. And the show ended at the perfect time.

Least Favorite

1) Roseanne Into that Good Night

Should have been retitled "To Little, to Late". After a terrible last season, the show ends with a mediocre finale. For a comedic episode to end on a terribly depressing note is ironic, because that is exactly what happened to the entire show. I liked that they realized how far out the show had gotten and tried to reverse everything, but it just didn't work. And Dan's death was extremely forced. Too bad, I loved this show.

2) Alias All the Time in the World

None of the characters were in character. Irina is bad AGAIN, just to be killed off. It turns out Rambaldi's weapon is immortality, even though Sloane said it wasn't the season before. Alias didn't go out with a bang, it went out with a whimper.

Angel was great, ended the way it should of, the crew continuing their never ending fight.

Arrested Development was great too, finding out it was Lucille that was the real mastermind the entire time.

What about Quantam Leap, how did that end?

I didn't really care for the last few episodes of Friends. Ross was a jerk, he hardly even mentioned his daughter Ema with the whole Rachel going to Paris and stuff.

I think it was going to be the fact that Illyria still had Freds memories and they slowly started to take over until it was basically Fred again.

"Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen" was the 251st and final episode of M*A*S*H. The episode aired on Monday, February 28, 1983 and was 2½ hours long. It was viewed by nearly 125 million Americans (77% of viewership that night) which established it as the most watched episode in American television history, a record which still stands today.

I liked Ronseanne's finale, too. I never saw it coming. It was bizarre, maybe a little too much so, but it was interesting.
