I have a lot of respect for Mark Kermode. He may be my favorite "legit" critic I've come across.

I've watched RLM for years and I usually appreciate and understand their takes even if I disagree, but there are times when their cynicism swallows their review/discussion. I mean those guys go hard, and it can get too mean spirited for me sometimes.

Ah ok, well I guess that's good to know in any case. I'm not a fan of their approach/humor at all though—I just tried watching their Shazam review again and had to stop about 2 minutes in because I just found them both too annoying to listen to. Really don't think I'd be able to manage watching 30 minutes of those two, unfortunately. I have a sense of humor, but it clearly doesn't align with theirs.

I recommend their Best of the Worst videos. They watch a bunch of crappy old movies and sit down and give a genuinely fair critique of them. They're honest with the criticisms but they're also very fair.

Tossup between Mark Kermode, RedLetterMedia, Double Toasted, and Chris Stuckman.

Nostalgia Critic. I don't go for mostly new releases reviews.

I occasionally watch:
  • Jeremy Jahns
  • Double Toasted
  • Chris Stuckman
  • Andre the Black nerd

Same. They were a nice youthful balance to Corey and Martin. I do like Sammy and Chris though.

But yeah id say my top 3 are DT, Jahns and Collider (Mostly the Schmoes. Harloff and Ellis are my bois)
Chris and Sammy are good on their show. I can't get into these What's in the Box guys though, and I really wanted to because the idea of DT doing TV reviews is really appealing, but they just don't hook me like the main guys do. I even watched/listened to The High Score all the time despite not being a gamer lol

He get's a lot flack for being "annoying" but Jeremy Jahns is my go-to.

RLM feels like how me and my friends will sit around and talk about movies, just a couple of guys ripping about movies, good and bad.

RLM. There is nobody better. They actually get to the substance of a film and judge it on it's own terms. I don't always agree with them, but even when I don't, what they say is interesting and fair. Best of the Worst, Re:View, Half in the Bag. Love all their shows. In fact a lot of internet critics have tried to copy Plinkett and don't really get it. They just take all the superficial traits of Plinkett as a means to bash movies in a superficial negative way. Plinkett's Ghostbusters review was superb and one of his best.

RLM doesn't play to trends and clickbait and how they're perceived. They make their own content however they want to make it.

Chris Stuckman

Slowly getting it into Jeremy Jahns and RLM

Eh, they're not really a fan of Yorgos Lanthimos. No thanks, chief.

I'm pretty sure they both loved his last movie. They even put it in their top 10s.

Yeah, Korey loved The Favourite, I think it was his #1 or #2 of the year.

I'm surprised on their takes about Widows and Green Book though. Goodwin liked Widows, at least. He was on another review channel talking about it.

How about Ocpcommunications? one of my favorite critics on youtube and one of my friends on facebook as Mike Brown, he's a passionate film lover just like me and he can see the errors sometimes in Hollywood.

He did nice reviews like Mandy which i agree with him is an excellent film and also my fave film of 2018 as it's his as well and even him and i fave film of 2017 is Shape of Water and of 2014 is John Wick.

He even does hilarious rants to garbage like Cannibal Terror and August Underground which i agree with him, those movies are horrible as hell.

I voted for Double Toasted. Their reviews are so much fun.

I voted for Double Toasted, but since then I've started watching Jenny Nicholson's youtube channel and she's very entertaining as well. Her and Lindsay Ellis are two that I enjoy. I love that DT interviewed Ellis recently.

Jahns is my favorite, but I also like the Reel Rejects.

this is my favorite movie and tv reviewer o_O:eek::twisted:

Double Toasted and Mr. Sunday Movies/Weekly Planet are my favorites. The latter don’t really do formal reviews of new movies but their Caravan of Garbage series of older movie reviews are awesome.

And I guess they don’t really count as reviews, but Ryan George’s Pitch Meetings are brilliant. I never miss them.

Mr. Sunday movies and Chris Stuckman. Stuckman is pretty much one of the few left who doesn't over indulge in clickbait for views.

I used to watch Jeremy, Chris, and Andre all the time when I was younger, but gradually watched less and less. I'll watch Andre's reactions from time-to-time though.

RedLetterMedia mostly. I’ve warmed back up to Stuckman as well. I’ve fallen off everyone else unfortunately.

Stuckman is my favorite definitely. Johns I like for a laugh or two. Double Toasted I watch but it’s starting to hit me that I don’t like them very much. I find their need to be funny outway their attempts at actual criticism, and a lot of the time it makes neither side work for me.
