I know that the one with Jolie, Hackers is probably up there with alot of people but as far as technical believability goes mine is still Robert Redford's "Sneakers". which is surprising considering it was from 1992.

So yeah, what are everyone's favourite? Maybe if we get enough list we can run a poll.

Hackers with Johnny Lee Miller was awesome. Great soundtrack and the fact that they did it on dial up makes it hilarious.

If someone says Swordfish, there's gonna be bodies...

Wargames slays all. I loved it as a kid but now it's sooo totally retro it's awesomeness on a whole new level.

I saw the thread title, and immediately thought Sneakers as well. Imagine my pleasant surprise to open the thread and see someone else with the same opinion! :D

HACKERS with Angelina Jolie...that movie is great...I remember seeing it in theaters not knowing what the heck i was in for but i was pleasently surprised and liked it alot....that was right before everyone had a P.C. to...

i think if it came out a year later it would have done better at the B.O.

Jolie had short hair in Hackers.

I hate it when chicks have short hair.

Wasnt there a tv show spin-off?
Yeah but I never saw it.

Chicks whith short are cute and I thought it suited Jolie alot better than some of her other hair cuts such as the platinum blonde dreadlocks from gone in 60 seconds.

Hack the planet!

Oh, no arguement about the dreadlocks - blecch.

Tell you what though, anyone remember the days of the 'Syntax error'?

Ah, the memories.

I always laughed at the way all they had Richard Pryor do in order to concince us that he was some super-hacker computer genius as Gus Gorman was type 'list' and 'run'.

:D

I remember when I was little and my mums computer was just a black screen with green text. I actully liked the superman fiom Richard Pryor was in even though I know alot of people don't. Its funny he doing the lois lane actress at the time too.

Richard Pryor was doing Margot Kidder?

No way..................:wow:

I loved Pryor in anything.

How about Donatello trying to hack the computer in TMNT 2?

How about Johnny Mnemonic with Keanu Reeves, God Awful movie but it fits the bill.

Does "Live Free or Die Hard" count? If so that's the only one I've seen that I liked.

If you haven't already seen it, the recommended Sneakers that several posters have already mentioned is a good one. Not only does it feature Robert Redford, but also Dan Aykroyd and River Phoenix no less. The only one anyone else has mentioned that I would put above it is probably War Games.

^
Don't forget Sydney Poitier

You guys seriously arent counting The Matrix? Just cause it has Kung-Fu in it dont make it any less of a Hacker movie...
