Critically speaking, the third film in any comic book franchise is considered the worst of the initial 3 films, without exception. With that said, what is your favourite of these third films? Also, are there any that you go against popular opinion on and actually like better than one or both of it's prequels?

For me, my favourite is X-men: The Last Stand. While I agree with the popular opinion that it is *technically* the worst of the three, it doesn't feel like it doesn't belong in the same series like a lot of other 3rd films, which is a big feat considering it was done by a different director than the first two. Also, I actually like it unlike a lot of third films, and even though it IS technically worse than the other two films, I personally think it's the "coolest" of the three.

Since none of those films are considered "great" movies like their predecessors, it's actually a bit interresting.

For my part, it's a tie between SM3 and Batman. Both has good and bad parts.

SPIDER-MAN 3
+ Villains
+ Fightscenes
+ Music
+ Bryce Howard
- The drama/Kirsten Dunst
- The hair/dance
- The CG

BATMAN:
+ Val Kilmer
+ Jim Carrey
+ Wayne Mansion/The Batcave
+ The humor
- Tommy Lee Jones
- Glowsticks
- The action
- The girl (Can't even remember her. Why did they even need a girl?)

I'm going for hmm.. Batman, since I liked Val Kilmer so much as Batman.

Those are all dispointments but Spidey 3 is the least offensive...though oddly enough maybe the most disapointing because I had high hopes for it.

Spider-Man 3. I haven't seen it.

Spider-Man 3, though none of them are very good.

zer00 says Superman Returns 3.

I don't think he's seen that either.

I like all those movies. Batman Forever I've probably talked enough about, Superman III has the corrupted Superman stuff which is superb, X-Men III is above average, Blade Trinity is average, and Spider-Man 3 is so great it shouldn't even be on that list.

Spider-Man 3 is so great it shouldn't even be on that list.

Summed it up, PERFECTLY... Spider-Man 3 easily the best of those... don't even have to think about it. :sym:

Close call between X3 and SM3 but I'm gonna go with X3.

They're all bad, but I think I'll pick SM3.

damn this is like asking a deathrow inmate to pick his prefered method of execution. Gotta make the best outta bad options so i'm go with Spiderman 3. It still had great action/fight scenes and i think they did a decent job with the symbiote/venom although it was rushed.

I wouldn't even really consider Batman Forever to be the third movie in the franchise. I see BF as a new take on the Batman story, and detach it from Burtons vision as much as possible. So far Burton, Schumacher and soon to be Nolan have made two seperate Batman movies each.

I will have to pick Spiderman 3, it was a fun movie.

sm3
than BF
x3 sucked major monkey balls
