FEMALE FORCE: SARAH PALIN SELLS OUT AND GETS SECOND PRINTING

These are not satire, these are autobiographies.

completely sold out and will be going back for a second printing.
“Due to the overwhelming demand for both the Palin and Clinton FEMALE FORCE issues, we are thrilled to have to run an second printing,” said Bluewater Productions publisher Darren G. Davis. “Despite our plan to over-print these titles the demand greatly exceeded our projections.”

These post order numbers occurred prior to the comics street release scheduled for of March 11. The 2nd printing of the comic will feature the same painted cover of Sarah Palin by Patricio Carbajal.
The comic book series has been featured on CNN, Fox News, The Los Angeles Times, USA Today and numerous other media outlets.
The FEMALE FORCE: Sarah Palin title was printed using Bluewater’s new green printing philosophy.
We are getting close to selling out of the Hillary Clinton comic as well. The issue is still available to order through Diamond DCD item #: NOV083848. There is still time to order Female Force: Michelle Obama DCD ITEM # FEB094121.

Pretty cool idea....awesome way to get kids to read.

They will also have “POLITICAL POWER" COMIC FEATURING COLIN POWELL coming out in July.

Did you see this on Greta?

Really? These are selling out? :facepalm

Other than Michelle, who hasn't really done anything of note, WTF? It's like let's take the worst examples of women in politics and...WTF?

Saw the Hilary Comic on shelves yeterday and rolled my eyes.

Michelle is an extremely accomplished woman in her private life but when it comes to the Political world she's a blank slate.

The only sad thing is that out of all of these women Palin is the only one deserves to be up there. She made her own political career and didn't have to rely on her father/husband’s name recognition to achieve her goals.

I am going out on limb and saying Palin is probably slightly smarter than Michelle, and I am no fanboy of Palin.

edit: this is based on the rumors she failed her first bar exam '88, heavy emphasis on slightly

Michelle has attended Harvand Law, but from what I've heard Palin only attended some local university. While that may not be proof of which women is smarter, at least it questions whether Palin is actually smarter than Michelle.

You know what, you are right, Palin is dumber. I can actually imagine Palin failing the bar. I completely forgot this. But I don't think either are above average.

Biden went to a crappy law school and was in the bottom barrel of the class, he managed to pass the bar the first time around. I don't see what Michelle's excuse is for failing the bar being Princeton and Harvard educated. The bar exam speaks more volumes to me than the school they attended. I am overestimating Palin, but I am not underestimating Michelle.

Caroline Kennedy? Really?

How come Nancy Pelosi and Sandra Day O'Connor don't have comics?

So is Sarah Palin 70 years old in the comic?

I can see why you'd think Palin doesn't look so hot, when she's the only one that doesn't have a man standing behind her to make her look better. ;)

See what I did there? :D

Exactely, there's nothing wrong with her but she doesn't deserve a comic and the rest besides Palin are just women with famous last names. Why not get, like actual inspirational women to write comics about, just to see how it would fly?

Who cares, they just chose women that are in the news today.....if people want to buy them, more power to them.

You don't think it picks some truely awful role models for women to emulate (Clinton, Palin, Kennedy) or show that your family or who you marry is far more important than what you do?

The people that are buying these have probably already made their mind up about these women, and agree with them, therefore they are "fans"....OR collectors.

As far as Palin, I disagree with her policy, soooooo?
As far as Clinton, she is now our Secretary of State, I see no different than I saw Madeline Albright, I'll wait and she how she does....
Kennedy, has done an enormous amount of good for many, many, many charities, just because she doesn't do interviews well, doesn't matter to me.....

I'm not buying any of these, but if some do......fine. No big deal....

Just seems sad when you think how many decent women they could have chosen for this rather than just one's in the news.

Palin just hasn't done much to be admired for.
Clinton is a well known liar that will say anything to further herself no matter who she insults.
Kennedy hasn't done so much, rich kid with a hobby. If not for the Kennedy (one of the worst families to ever disgrace this country) name she wouldn't be known by anyone.

Now I guess you're right, they're popular and it's what people want. Though that is the same reasoning for why paris hilton makes a good role model. I'd just like to see actual good role models for a change, just so kids have the option of not wanting to emulate people that suck or at best haven't done enough to be considered.

Palin: I guess going from a housewife/mom, to entrepeneur, to mayor, to governor, to VP candidate isn't enough for you....whether you agree with her policy or not, that is quite an accomplishment.

Clinton: So, under the criteria that you hold Clinton under, 90% of Washington doesn't deserve a comic.

Kennedy: Yeah, heading up some of the largest charities in New York, for education, at risk kids, etc, is so little.

Obama: Is RIGHT NOW, doing some great things military families, and education. I'm very impressed in the first 50 days with what she had done.

Are there others out there that have done much more.....OF COURSE, but these people are also in the business to make $$$$$. They have people to pay, house payments, etc...just like you and me, so of course they are going to pick women that are IN THE NEWS, and are accomplished (whether you think there accomplishments are worthwhile)....

Would Cindy McCain deserve a comic under your criteria?

I'm sure a Mother Theresa comic would sell beautifully?

As far as why Paris Hilton is a role model....are you kidding me? She is popular because people love watching a "train wreck" NOT because she's awesome, in the same categories as the women above, or has accomplished anything. Bad comparison, try again....

I guess, though she was more used for the VP thing then she worked to get it, and you know that. She does have some accomplishments which made me like her when McCain picked her initially then I saw her talk to people and yeah, not the best role model, though it did kind of confirm my belief that in politics intelligence is far behind wolf skinning in terms of advancement.

Yeah, I'd say 90% of washington is in the buisness of ****ing over US citizens every single day. So unless they're the villians in the comic they don't deserve it.

Sorry, I work with charities, Kennedy is a name and a name only for that, if you think otherwise that's great but she's not. You see her in interviews? This is not a person to emulate as a role model other then how to be a sponge and get appreciated for it.

Obama is there because of her husband (just like clinton) and while she hasn't been shown to be the evil ***** hillary is she hasn't done enough to be considered a role model either. Unless your basis is being married to the right man is good enough. Ah the 50s.

No I get that it's a buisness to make money. American Idol is huge and Arrested Development get's cancelled. It just makes me sad is all.

Cindy McCain? Of course not.

I'll bet you that a well written comic about the bravery and horrors that woman saw and fought against would be more emotionally rewarding and a far more compelling story than anything those four have seen and done or could ever do. Rather than talking about fake sniper fire (turns out "sniper fire" actually means "small child handing you flowers", which must have happened after I left the service) you can have someone that's seen real war and horror and made it her life to fight against it. Yes, it would make a far better comic. You know you could have that or some bored chick that signs things for a charity. I bet mother theresa had a fascinating life and met some incredible people.

Nah, hilton has made a successful buisness out of being a train wreck. That's more of an accomplishment than hillary and more impressive than kennedy. I mean she had to start with almost no name recognition and didn't even have a famous husband. She got famous by ****ing other people's boyfriends which isn't nearly as bad as hillary ****ing up healthcare. She's also had her own accomplishments like binge drinking and didn't have to use ghosts of crappy past president's to show relevance. Palin and Michele have a leg up on her. But I'd say she's better than 2 of 4 on that list.

But end of the day it's not that important I guess, I'd just like to see people chose role models that are actually role models rather than names. It'll never happen though, so I'm not deluding myself.

The thing is, there are people out there, that simply disagree with you. They see some of these women as role models. You may not see Palin as a role model, but there are plenty to who. Are they wrong? to you they are, to them you are wrong. My main reason for not voting for McCain WAS Palin, do I think that those who agree with her platform are wrong? yeah in many ways I do believe they are wrong, and they would probably think the same of me.

Some see Clinton as a role model, some see her as an agressive *****, yet if a man were doing the same thing....they wouldn't see him as an agressive bastard, just aggressive. I'll simply go back to my example as far as her dishonesty.

Some think very highly of the Kennedy family, some don't.....just a difference of opinion.

As far as Michelle Obama, as far as I'm concerned, she has started off very well. As far as being a role model for young black women? Sure she is, education, family, public service are all very important to her......those are all very positive things, lacking in alot of our young people today.

I give very little of my thinking time to Paris Hilton....

I work with many of the charities that Cindy McCain works with, not only does she give her money and name to these charities, she gives her time. That is important to me....

Yes some people think hitler's awesome as well, I call these people idiots. It's not simply a matter of personal opinion, that I agree is different from person to person, it's the matter of accomplishments and what they're actually done that I have issue with.

Palin's at least done somethings of note, and by herself. So I'll give her some props there. She's probably the best of this group so far (and isn't that sad?)

People can see hillary however they want. I just remember what she's done, which is to go back on almost every single word that's come out of her mouth. I remember her repeatedly lying then covering on those lies dispite people having taped the event and presenting it to her. That's not gutsy or *****y that's just some person feeling so invincible she feels she can change her own personal history when it suits her and just yell down the "truth". She's ****ing clown shoes, and really she's probably never been anything else.

I've just got problems with a family that has cheated it's way into politics, caused the vietnam war, escalated the cold war to the most dangerous point of armageddon in world history, allowed US trained soldiers to be massacred because of last minute doubts, put saddam in power (oh, wait that's just the one member of the family- we've also got fun drug charges, DUI's, DWI's, rape, more election rigging, mob connections, etc) and actually get's to be kindly thought of. Truth is Caroline Kennedy just hasn't done enough to be even spoken about for any reason. She's a name signer, and it's her father's name that she uses to giver herself relevance.

Michele, I've said just hasn't done enough one way or the other to be considered.

Oh, I don't think Cindy's bad, just not deserving either. I know plenty of better contributors that give more of their time, energies and a far greater percentage of their money to worthwhile causes. I mean rich people get into charaties as hobbies most of the time, it's a social way to have parties and seem "good". I'm not saying all do this but for most it's a big part of why they're involved.

I guess what peeves me isn't so much that these women are evil necessarily (a few seem kinda evil though) it's just that there are so many better people with better stories out there if you want to focus on women's issues have mother theresa dealing with the systematic rape of women in africa where no one cares. That's a bit better than what any of these women could have in a comic. Maybe I just like good stories?
