FF Movie set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe...

I'm also on board with the Four being "lost in space" for years in the MCU. I'd say the space mission is seen as a national tragedy akin to the Columbus mission..... just a thought.

I like that idea a lot

If it bombs they'll probably offer to sell the rights back to Disney and then it'll be up to Disney if they want to buy them back. They won't give them back as there's no benefit for them to do so.

And if that was their plan to begin with then there's no benefit in us supporting that film since the money is in Fox ransoming the rights to begin with.

I wrote a very rough and lengthy plot pitch for what I'd do with the FF were it in the MCU, not that it has any huge role in the story. Very rough as I said, and there's stuff I'm not happy with, but wanted to share. Made Mole Man the villain because I doubt they'd make Doom the main villain yet again, but he's still in it. I hope I did him justice

I'd approach a Fantastic Four movie by highlighting their explorer nature as much as the scientific side. Open it with Reed, Ben and Victor discovering some ancient temple in a thick, cut off jungle, and inside it is seemingly alien writing, maps and radiation. Reed and Victor disagree on it's origin - Reed thinks it's alien, Victor thinks it's of Earth. Five years later, Reed has a government funded space project in motion, in order to operate multiple satellites to study possible alien activity and frequencies, and try and work out where the writings came from. Victor still works with Reed, and Reed works alongside Harvey Elder, a terminally ill scientist who sees Reed as his only friend, having been bullied his whole life. Reed runs a test of the mission, which he, Victor, Ben, and Sue, Reed's girlfriend, take part in. It goes wrong as power cuts out, which Reed discovers was because of Elder, who was using the radiation samples for his own genetic experiments. Furious, Reed fires him, and the government threatens to pull funding.

Having already built the shuttle, Reed gets Sue's brother, Johnny, to help them gain access to the launch silo, and take part in the launch. Victor reluctantly joins them, still firmly believing in the human origin of their findings. They launch, but Elder sabotages their communications, causing the shuttle to fly blind - the Four fly straight into a cosmic storm. Victor selfishly uses the one escape pod, being blasted off around the planet, whilst the Four are exposed to the storm in different ways. The shuttle crashes down to Earth, and Reed is able to reboot the systems so Ben can safely land. The Four discover after landing they've been all genetically altered, to varying degrees - Reed is capable of extreme stretching, Sue can form shields and go invisible, Johnny is able to spontaneous combustion and flight, and Ben becomes a rock creature. Sue suggests they keep their suits so as to contain their powers.

The Four make their way back to New York, where they find the Baxter Building trashed, having been branded criminals. They discover Elder, who having stolen Reed's research, has continued his genetic experiments with the radiation, deforming himself in the process. He reveals a small army of mutated creatures, grown out of a vapour solution created with the radiation, who attack the Four. They stop Elder, but are confronted by the police, and narrowly avoid arrest. They seek refuge at Ben's apartment, where they discover that Victor hasn't been found either. With no way of tracking down Elder, the Four seem stuck. Reed soon theorises that if Elder was using the radiation as part of his solution to create more mutated life-forms, he would need a larger amount - so assumes Elder's next move would be to take the temple they discovered years ago. Using a jet Reed built whilst at the Baxter Building, they set off.

Meanwhile, Victor awakens, his escape pod having crashed into a lake in a remote mountain range, where he is nursed back to health by a small tribe of terrorists. Hailing him as an alien who fell from the stars, they ask Victor where he found the writings he had with him in the pod, which they explain isn't alien - but is rather the native language of Latveria, a small hidden society in the mountains, who they are at odds with. Promising Victor knowledge if he helps them, he agrees to invade.

The Four arrive at the temple, where they discover Elder has created a makeshift lab. Elder reveals he has been working for over a year here, trying to develop a cure for his disease, and in the process accidentally created the mutated creatures. He then continued collecting radiation to grow his army, creating a vapour substance capable of growing a certain bacterium into the creatures, later being driven power mad. He plots to invade New York and punish those who bullied him throughout his life, and claim a position of power. The Four attempt to stop him, and a fight ensues, destroying the temple in the process. Elder escapes with enough of the radiation to activate his army. The Four argue, unable to hone their abilities or work as a team. As they begin to split, Sue encourages them to try and work together to save New York. They reluctantly agree, and head back to New York in the jet.

As the Four arrive, Elder releases his vapour solution into the sewers, where he has been planting the necessary DNA and bacterium to grow an army. A huge mutant creature bursts out of the ground, and the Four successfully fight it off, before dealing with the smaller army. Sue uses her shielding abilities to contain the vapour substance, whilst Johnny burns it up, destroying it. Elder is defeated, and the Four are hailed as heroes - and pardoned for launching the shuttle unauthorised. Upon discovery the radiation from the temple was not the same as the cosmic storm that altered their bodies, Reed continues to theorise as to its origin, and the Four begin to search to find Victor.

Meanwhile, Victor and the terrorist group attack Latveria, where they soon take over the community. Victor enters a large fortress, with the walls plastered in the writings. He confronts their leader, who reveals the writings are books of witchcraft. Concluding the radiation in the cave was magic in origin, Victor smiles, before killing the leader and claiming Latveria as his own.

:doom:

Post credits scene - six stoned friends are watching TV, where the Fantastic Four are being talked about. A blogger, Vintor Domashev, says he wishes he could be like them, to which one of them - Josh Trunk - attacks him for his, before destroying the television and burning a small pile of comics. Mitchell B. Jordan then turns to the camera, smiling, and says "You'll see it anyway". Fade to black.

Just kidding. Please nobody get mad at me :oldrazz:
