Some of mine would include:
Superman vs. the Kryptonians. Not the slam-fest that happened in the streets of Metropolis; that was awesome. But when they got to the Fortress & everybody started displaying these ridiculous powers that they shouldn't have & so forth, it was just ******ed. Particularly this.

Wolverine vs. Juggernaut. I just expected more. I feel the best parts of that fight most likely can be found on the cutting room floor.
Superman vs. Clark Kent. Made no sense whatsoever. I couldn't tell if Clark had his powers or not. If he had them, why was he getting owned throughout the fight? If he didn't, why did he win?
Batman vs. Joker. I mean in 1989. I know most of you will cry "Blasphemy!" but the way Batman just kept pressing his physical advantage against Joker made him come off like a bully. And Joker being able to pull both Batman and Vicki over the edge with no leverage & not falling himself?

I'll give you Wolverine vs. Juggernaut...that fight had so much potential...wasted.

But the other three are a matter of suspension of disbelief. And the other three were awesome.

Although I have to admit that cellophane S-Shield is just goofy.

Wasted potential. That's what I was trying to say.
Suspension of disbelief can go but so far. When they're shooting lasers out of their hands, I call shenanigans. And the hologram/teleporting thing? WTF? Especially when Supes said "We used to play this game when I was a kid." Huh? He was in diapers playing the hologram/teleport game? Or is this a popular pastime in Smallville?

I took it that he was talking abut hide and seek...of course when I used to play that game, I didn' have 3 other versions of me, so...lol

Supes 'powers' got even worse in 'The Quest for Peace'...ughhhh.

Which brings me to the Supes vs Nuclear Man fights-complete with girly nails, MORE ridiculous powers, a woman's ability to breathe in space & a villain whose weakness was being cut off from sunlight.
And if he meant "Hide & Seek", then he should've been clear about that.

1st Spider-man vs Green Goblin- starts off good, catching spidey's punch and kicking him, but once he's up on his glider it goes crappy for me. Spidey is running in a straight line while teh Goblin fires off bullets and a missile. a. when has spidey ever ran in a straight line on the ground from an enemy, should be Spider-ing around, and b. How could the Goblin miss him?

Then we have Spidey up on the balloons, a little boring, suddenly turns into a CGI animation, goes good for a second when Goblin catches him mid-air, but then we have the punches that don't seem to have any power behind them. Overall not the kind of Spidey/GG fight I expected to see, the one we got in Spidey3 was more akin to what i was expecting, and considering the great web swinging seqence chasing Uncle Ben's original killer, I don't see why we couldn't have, except of course they had to stay in one place because of the pre-requisite MJ rescue.

..yeah, specially when what we saw was pretty good. Bah, I liked it :oldrazz: Wolverine going in/through/out the ceiling.. that was well done.

Iron-Man vs. Iron-Monger.

Such a great film ending on such a dull note.

Spidey vs. Venom.

Both have super agility and yet the 'fight' was motionless for the most part, concentrating more on King Sand.

..perhaps one day we'll get an Iron Man v2.0 dvd? You know, like that extended Spider-Man one

Agree with this one, it was VERY dissapointing, especially when the whole movie was building up it!

SOMEWHAT agree with his one, but I liked what we got.

Have to add I felt ALL of the fight scene's in X3 were atrocious.

Hahahaha...My friend and I always make fun of that water demon and Ghost Rider fight near the end...Literally 15 seconds long!

Only part of Blade: Trinity I saw...Ryan Reynolds vs. Triple H...At the end...So staged, and just looked like a wrestling match...I saw an arm-bar, a reverse one...Was just waiting for someone to jump from the ropes and a pin...1...2...3!!!

For me, that was the problem.
And I enjoyed the Ghost Rider, Iron Man & Spidey/Venom fights.

Bloody savage :oldrazz:

Another one: Hulk vs. Daddy Hulk/water-molecular Man Guy

I'm not even sure what happened in this... Big jump, Hulk clouds, Hulk icecube, takes it all.

WTF

It was more a psychological conflict than a physical one. And it didn't feel like Lee even wanted it in there.

I wish it wasn't in there also. It was a horrible, muddled 'climax' to a film I actually enjoy.

Agreed, especially the finale. I can barely watch it. Only six X-Men? No Nightcrawler, no Jubilee, no Rogue, Angel shows up and doesn't do anything past saving his dad. And there's no strategy to the fight, no tactics, no continuity. There's no plausible way that the six of them can hold off Magneto's whole army, except that they just...do. I keep coming up with ideas to make that whole movie better, ever since the first time I saw it.

Hulk vs. the army in Ang Lee's Hulk.
I know people enjoy it and all, but it's so restrained. The filmmakers don't allow Hulk to kill or seriously injure anybody, because they think if he does he won't be the hero anymore.

Peter Parker vs. Mary Jane Watson in Spider-man, Spider-man 2, and Spider-man 3

We get it... relationships are hard without the superhero stuff... and even harder with the superhero stuff. Now get on with the story.

In SM3, when Harry is in the hospital and Peter doesn't tell MJ why, I remember thinking, "They should just break up right now. Clearly this is not going to work out."

Spidey vs Octopus.

Spidey can lift up a steel wall to save MJ but for the life of him cant knock out an overweight middle-aged scientist. Watching Spidey repeatedly smack Octavius around just got annoying.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned the see-saw fight from Daredevil.
Atrocious.

if spidey killed otto with one punch would't that make for a dul movie?

Good Lord, This spidey vs ock thing spills all over the place. All defenders cry 'punch pulling' and throw all logic out of the window like spidey can't control his strength. Ock got more punishment than any other villain in the movie franchise and he was the only one without powers, yet wasn't phased. Spidey couldn't even knock off his bloody shades :o Just a wasted potential

Chris in all fairness, Less than 5% of all comic book fights are satisfactory IN the comics, let alone in their movie translations. You're better off doing a thread about the ones that do work instead of the ones that don't.

abomination vs hulk was the BIGGEST let down. What an anti-climax, they don't even have a slugging fest against one another and so little destruction or rage or displays of power on both sides.
