Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children arrives FINALLY on April 25th

One other thing that slightly bugged me was that why Cloud was so afraid of Sephiroth, when Cloud beat him to a pulp at the end of FFVII.

He didn't seem very scared at the end.

Part of it is that Sephiroth's like Cloud's doppleganger. He's sort of an embodiment of his fears and despair.

Yeah i know Sephiroth put him through a lot before he beat him in FFVII, but when Cloud first sees him in AC, he looks scared and jumps away.

Ha ha yeah i know, he is a complete badass, and a great character. Werent Vincent and Sephiroth related in some way in the game?

Vincent was once a Turk, and was in love with Lucrecia, who was married to Professor Hojo. When Lucrecia became pregnant, Hojo injected the fetus with Jenova Cells. That baby became Sephiroth. When Vincent tried to intercede, he was deemed a nuisance, and experimented on, which is why he's able to transform into monsters. So the connection was Vincent was in love with the woman who gave birth to Sephiroth.

Jesus, how do you remember all this stuff!!!LOL. I mean i consider myself to have a very good memory and i cant remember all that. Good on you though. So that means Vincent is like twice the age of Sephiroth, weird. Vincent is potentially just as powerful as Cloud or Sephiroth though IMO as well.

I've played through the game twice and watched it a third time. I've read thousands of comics, watch hundreds of movies and polayed dozens of games, and weirdly find it's easier to remember events and trivia from all these things than events from my own life. My fiance always says "remember my friend so and so," or "remember when we went here/did this?", and I never do and she always has to remind me. Yet for some reason I can tell you that Wolverine #50 is the first appearence of Shiva, a series of Robots designed by the Weapon X program to hunt down rogue agents, which included Wolverine, Sabretooth, Maverick, Silver Fox, Mastodon, and John Wraith - from the top of my head even though I haven't read the comics these facts were revealed in in over ten years, and I didn't even like them that much :p

Hmm... Is it at all possible that Sephiroth is Vincent's son?

It seemed Cloud was more shocked to see Sephiroth rather than scared.

I haven't played FFVII will this movie make sense to me?

The DVD has a feature called "Reminiscence of Final Fantasy" It pretty much tells you the story of the game using the game footage.

Thanks.

So if the three "children" and the remaining remnants of Sephiroth joined together, Sephiroth would've been perfect?

Not sure it entirely works like that. It seems what the "remnants" were lacking were the Jenova cells.

I dunno, Loz and Yazoo didn't seem like types who could transform into Sephiroth :) .

Saw in Japanese. Have yet to see it in english but I'll probably go out and buy it

Yeah, i think it was only Kadaj who had the physical make up of Sephiroth.

this movie was awesome

I don't know why they won't make a sequel to this game it would make so much money!
