Final Fantasy VII on PSN Store?

Finally! I can finally play it and beat it this time omg omg omg ive been praying for this for sooooo long me so happy now :)

I've never played this yet. Kingdom Hearts brought me into the Square world and since then I've played X, X-2, and XII.
Definitely going to pick this one up.

Finally. I was always wondering why they didn't release it for the PSN store. Now at last it's coming. I hope VIII and IX will find their way to the PSN store too.

How does the gamke run on the psp? Does anyone know?

$10? Wow. I thought they would get ridiculous with the price and have it be at least $20 but more like 30. Never played it but now that its up on the PSN, I think I might get this. I didnt want to play it on my PSP before but might with my PS3

as soon as I saw it on the store lastnight I downloaded it...just in time as I beat Tactics again the other day

I still have my original 3 disc copy. I probably put more time into that game than any other I've ever played. I have every character at 99 and you wouldn't believe my materia sets unless you saw them. Second favorite RPG of all time (behind Grandia and just ahead of Lunar Silver Star Story). 6 and 7 are actually the only 2 FF's I've played to completion. Never finished 5 and couldn't get a handle on junctioning in 8. Battle systems just got too complicated for me after VII so I haven't played any of the sequels.

Funny enough I still haven't finished IX yet. I enjoyed the Junction System in FF XIII. Came across this awesome Walkthrough on Gamefaqs around the time the game came out and there was an awesome way to max out your characters fairly early in the game and my what a blast it was to defeat the final boss with relative ease.

For example that early mission with Squall and Zell who accompanied Seifer. I had Squall and Zell killed off while Seifer was taking the magic off the enemies 100 a piece. Yeah it took alot of time but it was well worth it.

As for FFVII I might consider it. But I'm still hanging out for a remake though.

I had this in '98, playing it on my PC, which was just barely powerful enough to play it. It played slow, causing problems with cut-scenes and those min-games that reiquired good timing. It's great to be able to watch and play again with out the frustration of slow-down. Maybe I'll be able to actually finish this time.

Ok...so I just finished ff7...previously I personally thought that 10 was the best in the series but very much wanted to try out 7 for all the praise it got and now I finally have...god dayum...that game turned me into a ****-dispenser....best rpg I've ever played, move over ff10

Ha ha, a new convert. Glad you enjoyed it. I fell in love with FF7 the first time I played it.

No wonder Square Enix loves to make spin-offs of Final Fantasy VII -- you people can't stop buying it! The PSN re-release of Final Fantasy VII has been downloaded over 100,000 times in two weeks, making it the fastest-selling PS1 download on the PSN so far (and likely, for all time). If a simple digital re-release can garner these kinds of sales figures, imagine what a proper remake could do.

While touting the "power and interoperability built into the PlayStation brand," Sony also officially announced additional PS1 games for release later this summer: Wild Arms 2, Mobile Light Force and Spec Ops: Stealth Patrol. It's unlikely any of these games will even come close to what Final Fantasy VII was able to achieve.

Ok, Square, time to plop up Xenogears on the US store. Come on now, you know you want to

I don't know anything about that game. I've always wanted to play Xenogears and it's been on the JPN store for over a year and the eBay prices are too high for my tastes. I hope this success will persuade them to bring it over like they have with FFVII

Sorry, but what is PSN? I'm a Brit who hasn't used a Playstation since FF10 came out. But i've been literally dreaming about FF7 and would love to replay it. I would even buy a PS3 to do so. Sad yes, but this is perhaps my favourite game that i've ever played.

I liked FF8 too although it was very inferior to 7, can take or leave FF9 and FF10 caused me to stop playing FF games and infact consoles altogether. Would absolutley love to take FF7 on again though :wow:

PSN is the online component for the PS3, similar to the way Xbox Live is to the 360

If you wanted a PS3 already you could get that and then buy FFVII off the PSN for $10. It's playable on your PS3 and a PSP if you have one. You can copy over games saves as well.

really? I didnt know PS3 and PSP game saves were compatible. That definetly changes things. You learn something new about the system all the time
