OMG, I finally found a Wii today! I left out of the house at 9:30 this morning and after searching in 2 Targets, 2 Gamestops, a Best Buy, AND a Toys R Us, I found one at the third Target store!

I was told Sundays was the days to go, but they just got them in today! I knew I had a good feeling!

Proof!

I am now.....one of you.

Welcome to the fold. :p

Good choice in Super Paper Mario, that game is a little long winded in conversation...but the gameplay is pure gold.

Other recommendations for you: Trauma Center: SO, The Legend of Zelda: TP, Elebits, and Godfather: BE.

You should have gotten Wii Sports instead of just a Wiimote. Game plus a Wiimote :o

Yeah, I plan on getting RE4 and LoZTP...

What's Wii Play and also, do I need a memory card or is there an internal memory?

-TNC

There is 512MB of internal memory, which takes care of most you would do with the system. I haven't run out of room yet anyways.

That takes care of game saves and VC downloads. For extra memory you can buy up to a 5 gig SD card for the system.

Wii Play is another game in the same vein as Wii Sports only it's $50.00 and comes packed with a remote. It's a great deal, you effectively get a remote with a 10.00 game.

Hmmmm...I see...

I still have my receipt... ;)

if the guy working at the store didnt try to push Wii Play on you when you got your Wii, you obviously got it at someplace other than Toys R Us :o

lol. That explains it.

I'm really liking the bowling and boxing games. The tennis and baseball games are taking a while to get used to.

-TNC

Boxing? Really? I found it unresponsive, and just plain bad...Baseball too...I love Tennis and Bowling though :o

Tennis, bowling and golf are where its at. Boxing is fun for a short bit, but its easily the worst part of the game. It shows the wii's problems in a big way.

I just got Twilight Princess in the mail today. I ordered it on Thursday and I got it today. Brand new, $36 shipped. Maybe I should've waited and ordered Super Paper Mario online too and I could've saved $10.

Wiiplay flat out sucks IMHO, not worth the cash. Wiisports is awesome, as is Zelda, the DBZ game (pretty dang fun with the Wii controls) and several others. RE4 is also a must own, sure it's an old game...but it's one of the best games ever made.

Yep. I plan on getting RE4 in about two weeks or so. I don't want to get too many long games at once though...I still have my GCN version. :D

Super Paper Mario was fun....but I traded it, I think I would have enjoyed it more if it was like a traditional Paper Mario RPG......I found SPM to be waaaay to easy.

That said it IS a good Wii game.

Anyway, enjoy your purchase, it's the most fun I've had in years.

sell the GC version of RE4...you can still use the GC controller with the Wii version if you end up not liking the motion control on it...and it has all the extras from the GC and PS2 version, and is superior in every way to both of them, IMO

Hmmmmm....I guess that does make sense..

Ahh, what the heck...I'll put it up on Half.com first.

Does anyone know how much Gamestop is trading RE4 GCN for? I haven't been in a while to pick up that buy back pricing list...

-TNC

Not to much man, I'd say about 5 bucks give or take a few bucks. Cube games, unless they are rare (Zelda: Masters Quest, the N64 game on a Cube disk trades in for about 35) all get low prices. If you can wait until they have a super trade in deal day, they tend to have them every other week.

Do not touch Trauma Center. What an awful game. The Wii-mote is terribly unresponsive and the game points out the flaws in the controller rather than the strengths. It was fantastic on the DS, but this rerelease for the Wii is a waste of money.

Well, I just sold it on Half.com for $9.50 (in my pocket).

Simultaneously, I bought the Wii version on Ebay for $29, shipped sealed. Finding RE4Wii on Ebay at $29 is a frickin' steal now. Why? Well, it's $29.99 in stores almost everywhere, yet you have most of the auctions for it upwards of $35 and a lot of them are USED. So, I think I lucked out.

If you're talking about Trauma Center, I think you'll be let down. Second Opinion is essentially the exact same game with a small set of sub-missions tacked on the side. The remarkably responsive and easy-to-use control of the DS touch screen has been replaced by the clunky, sluggish controls of the Wii remote.

In that case, I'm sure you'll love it. I've heard from countless video game freaks that the Wii version is the best so far.

Trauma Center was good. I got it and played it a lot. I'm stuck on one level though. Elebits is also good choice once you're out of things to play.
