A couple months ago my friends and I decided to end our senior year with a feature film and are about to enter Post-Production

We had several ideas and even abandoned one project a week into shooting.
We finally settled for one idea (similarities to 127 Hours and Buried not accidental).

I jokingly proposed the idea of 127 Hours in a car, and my friend liked it. There may be similarities but the stories are completely different. We had no budget, pushed a 2000 pound car into the woods, tried our best to make it believable, and this the outcome...

Here is the trailer edited by me.

The characters screaming for help wasn't blood curdling enough and was far too scratchy. They sounded like they needed a throat losange or that they just couldn't yell in a high pitch. Also, I think 3.5 seconds on black screen for a trailer that is 1:42 seconds is too much. Cut that in half.

I think it was a solid trailer, otherwise. I see the 127 Hours similarities, of course. I liked the song you chose. I think it added a creepy vibe to it.

its called 'cracked' and inspired by 127 hours? you know what woulda been a cool movie? someone doing crack for 127 hours.

If anyone is interested. we finished the film and you can view it on the link below, it will be the main video.. I'd post the video but there is some bad language.

Criticism is welcome. Tell me what you think.

I worked as Cameraman/Cinematographer and Editor.

That's a very interesting concept. It's simplicity makes it very effective and it has a unique twist on it. I have to admit the trailer is a little hard to follow a tone of fear and peril. My take is that if it had more suspense like something for Independence Day, Armageddon's style teaser trailers and didn't show he got trapped in the car, and only his shock and fear of being nowhere that would be superb.

Awful actors. And glowsticks? Really? I'll just watch 127 Hours instead. On the positive side a couple of the shots look.. okay, sort of, and the editing could be worse but it's hard to tell when all the footage you're working with is... well, that.

Well the glow sticks are part of the story. Can you elaborate a little more on the editing and footage?

What kind of camera did you use?

I thought it was too slow paced. I don't think the film had enough juice to last 50 minutes. Actually, it should have ended 20 minutes in. When a film deals with a character being constricted in a small space, you need strong performances from actors to push the film forward, and your film needed that. However, it wasn't an awful amateur film, and I advise you to keep making films in order to improve.

Thanks for the input.

Yeah. we cut out about 10 minutes, and I admit we really could have cut out more but we were pretty lazy and liked too much of the stuff that needed to be cut or trimmed down. And other stuff we would have loved to cut out, but then the dialogue would have seemed weird.
