Firefighters Forced To Attend Gay Pride Parade

Actually, since the mod's have confirmed that he's the poster formerly known as celldog, it's pretty safe to say that he HAS been banned for expressing his views on here (though celldog did so in an extremely antagonistic manner).

true, i'm sure he deserved it when he was banned. looking at x-punisher's comments, though, i'm willing to go out on a limb and say that celldog is really reaching in comparing his situation to x-punisher's.

Can't say I'd disagree.

I know! It's a crazy thought, since you just got done telling me to post only about black people in the Soul-Glo Forum!

If you can find that particular posting of mine, I'd appreciate that. :yay:

Do you have some problem with narrowing the focus on a particular group? This, after all, is "The Soul Glo Lounge".....we do talk specifically about the black experience, here.

Seems pretty simply stated to me, Sparky. You were getting interesting to talk to for awhile but I see you're slipping back into your celldog ways. That's too bad.

Is this somehow inaccurate?

But did I say that nothing else could be discussed??? No I did not. And as LS stated below the thread was to address matters pertaining to African-Americans and other minorities (posted below). And that's all I was doing. And I didn't put anyone else down while doing it. Everybody can join in but me I guess. :yay:

Well guess what, I still consider you a pretty interesting cat to talk to. I think it's pretty sad when two people can't differ without the other taking his ball home and shutting down. You're bigger than that.

Chalk this up to just one more thing we've agreed to disagree on.

Now, before some of you guys raise yer "That's Racist!" shields, let's clarify a few things right off the bat: This thread is for everybody--no matter what color they are. While the purpose of this round-table discussion is to address matters pertinent to African Americans, Latinos and other minorities, it is also designed to tackle subjects that appeal to all Hype peoples. TRANSLATION: If you listen to Hip Hop or R&B Music, have fond memories of black TV comedies i.e. The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air or have an opinion on whether Barak Obama should run for U.S. president, you have a right to be here--color be damned.

Sorry, but you heavily implied that you didn't want anyone to discuss the issues being raised as they apply to anyone but black folks.

LS needs to amend his opening statement for that thread, because after the rash of "me too" threads that popped up for every other race and creed that you can think of got shut down by the mods, it was made clear that the Soul-Glo thread should be used for all racial issues. At any rate, my comments that all walks of life and race face the issues you're raising doesn't take away one bit from the impact of those issues on the black community. It does expand the scope of the discussion to include EVERYBODY, though, and you were pretty clear in the thread that you did not like or want that; that you wanted it to be just about black people.

Well guess what, I still consider you a pretty interesting cat to talk to. I think it's pretty sad when two people can't differ without the other taking his ball home and shutting down. You're bigger that that.

Seems to me you weren't WANTING the discussion to include anything I had to interject. ;)

Chalk this up to just one more thing we've agreed to disagree on.

I've moved all of this to a database for easier sorting and manageability. :p

Not the the case. But when the original point was about the plight of black people and you flip it to the "everybody" has this problem" card, without even acknowledging the issue, how does that seem? .

LS' statement is fine with me. :cwink:
Go figger...

And it seemed as if you were summarily dismissing mine. So we're evenly misunderstood. :yay:

i joined bibleforums.org on Monday, 1 am. and when i woke up, 1:30 pm i was banned. Reason: Trolling. I made 3 posts. One on a thread about people saying they don't want to be close friends with non-Christians in, which i said "I have friends of many faiths and we discuss religion in a adult fashion. Also it's good to keep friends of different faiths because they may change the way you see the world."

Another on one about a teenager who is looking for an accountibility buddy for his homosexuality: "It isn't really healthy to supress those feelings, a lot of those kids who get sent to those homesexuality rehibilitation camps end up killing themselves. You are what you are, it isn't harming anyone so why change yourself?"

And I made a thread about what I think should change about AA, basically that it is there to convert people into Christians, and that it shouldn't be inforced for people. I also said it degraded the people in the program saying that they have a disease and that there is no way to control it.

Basically they're a bunch of facist pigs. I don't think that could be considered trolling. Is having a different opinion than everyone else and expressing that opinion trolling?

You're a ****ing idiot; you don't actually want to post on the message board and did it just to get attention. Go *********e to your portrait of Hillary Rodham Clinton.

that's bull****. it doesn't sound like you were being an instigator, just posting respectful comments that differed from the others.

You're an idiot, too.

I'm reading through bibleforums now. Jesus Christ. You know the response I see the most, laughably? "I don't understand what you mean by that."

I read some threads on there 2 days ago; needless to say, there are a lot of close-minded, ignorant people who post on the message board.

Wow that's not very appropriate. Well, am I a Christian? No. I wasn't specifically trying to get attention, I was quit polite and modest, and not in-your-face (like the response you just gave me). I just wanted to see if they looked down on free-thinking people, which they do. So I can easily make the judgement that Christianity is ****. I don't have any idea what Hillary Clinton has to do with this.

I guess god lacks the power to send his followers to anger management classes

Christians are showing their true colors in this and the Christian thread.

I'm reading some of the posts on the Bible forums again and this guy is saying that he isn't sure he wants to have a wedding ceromony, but makes the mistake of saying that his wife isn't christian. So some ******* posts:

"I find it a little odd that her not being a Christian is not an issue at all. I'ld think the idea of someone that you really love spending enternity in hell would bug the living day lights out of you....

but as far as your question goes. I think the marriage vows themselves taken in front of God and witnesses would be just as binding in God's eyes as a marriage license...jmho"

Wow, that's some scary ****, lurk on stromfront sometime, it's a white supremacist forum that'll make you ashamed to be white.

Most of them think whites are biologically superior. I wonder how many are Christians there ( I say this because the bible makes it clear that Jews or Israeli's are the "chosen."). But, whatever. I'm already ashamed to be white.

Mormons are the worst when it comes to religion based racism. There's a reason you never see black Mormons, ever.

There's really no reason to be ashamed to be white, or proud either. Racial pride in all forms is ******ed.

Yeah, but usually black pride groups are socailly acceptable.

To be fair, black history month isn't associated with *******s who preach that they're genetically superior like white "pride" is. It's all ******ed if you ask me, your physical features are designed for you to thrive in a particular environment, big deal.
