Sorry, but you heavily implied that you didn't want anyone to discuss the issues being raised as they apply to anyone but black folks.
Not the the case. But when the original point was about the plight of black people and you flip it to the "everybody" has this problem" card, without even acknowledging the issue, how does that seem? .
LS needs to amend his opening statement for that thread, because after the rash of "me too" threads that popped up for every other race and creed that you can think of got shut down by the mods, it was made clear that the Soul-Glo thread should be used for all racial issues. At any rate, my comments that all walks of life and race face the issues you're raising doesn't take away one bit from the impact of those issues on the black community. It does expand the scope of the discussion to include EVERYBODY, though, and you were pretty clear in the thread that you did not like or want that; that you wanted it to be just about black people.
LS' statement is fine with me.
Go figger...
Seems to me you weren't WANTING the discussion to include anything I had to interject.
And it seemed as if you were summarily dismissing mine. So we're evenly misunderstood.
I've moved all of this to a database for easier sorting and manageability.
