Sequels First Class 3 or X-Men 5?

Since Days of Future Past is a sequel to both X3 and First Class I'm wondering which time period they'll continue on with. (If sequels ever happen that is.) Maybe they'll branch out into 2 separate franchises again.

Yeah I think they will do both an X5 and a FC3, but I ain't gonna take a guess which one will come next though

Singer has been talking about creating a mythology, a bigger xmen universe with spin offs and solo films

Also McAvoy still seems confident there will be a FC3 in an interview yesterday saying he thinks he will be more like Patrick's xavier by the next film, and he had read the DoFP script so he knows what is go an happen by the end of the film

with Marvel doing thousands of movies, 2 a year, and DC planning Superman/Batman, Flash and Justice League...

we can be sure Fox will do much more than just 2 x-men series, lol

DOFP is considered a sequel to FC and X3, so its half FC2 and half X4

but I at least want a full X4 movie for full cast. thats why I like to call it X4, instead of X5.

I know DOFP includes 8 original actors, but to me X4 should be bigger than that regarding the team, so a movie without Cyclops, Nightcrawler and Gambit doesnt feel at all like a full X4.

at the end of the day, as Singer says, this is just an inbetweenquel

I think a FC3 movie should be done like when James McAvoy/Michael Fassbender are like way older so it would be more believable if they bring the younger version of Cyclops, Storm and Jean.

they could tease Apocalypse at the end of FC3, I mean, showing at the end that there is a big threat that has big plans to conquer the world, and then on the present day sequel they show him in full force, attacking many countries and the full x-men team trying to stop him with different groups on each country.

feel bad for first class cast be honest would you rather see young professor.mystique and xavier or wolverine,iceman,storm,rogue,kitty,beast,Colossus,maybe even jean and cyclops if they somehow return with possibilities of guys like deadpool and cable taking on apocalypse,shadow king,stryfe,omega red,mister sinister,etc.

A 3rd FC would probably have young Xavier,magneto,beast,mystique, cyclop, jean,storm and maybe 1 or 2 more, maybe quicksilver again

if DOFP is another team up story which sounds like it will be in both timelines, then the next step logical step would probably be X-men vs the brotherhood in the 80s

I think both would be kind of redundant and unnecessary. If they are making a First Class 3, what would be the need for an X4 and vice versus. I'd think for the sake of having a universe that makes sense and doesn't seem too crowded it would behoove them to go with one or the other. Doing both kind of comes off as trying to have their cake and eat it too.

Not to mention, time could be spent in other areas of the X-Men universe such as other team spin-offs (X-Factor, X-Force, Excalibur) or solo movies (Gambit, Deadpool, Mystique etc.)

the big difference on FC3 and X5 is that FC3 could explore young Cyclops and Jean, same with Quicksilver, Havok and co.

while X5 could focus on other characters not appearing on the past, like Rogue, Nightcrawler, Angel, Kitty, Iceman etc.

So.... I see them as two completely different things.

Not to mention that FC could have a totally different storyline and villain as X5.

Things need to progress into the future. I don't think there should be another film solely dedicated to the past. That said, I see no reason why a following film couldn't incorporate both times as this one is doing.

My pick? Use Sinister as the villain across the timelines, with Charles recruiting Scott and Jean in the 80's and the final battle between the X-Men and Sinister taking place in the present day. All this could lead into Apocalypse for the next installment.

DOFP is gonna change the past and bring in a new possible future so a FC 3 wont be irrelevant.

Of course I would rather see the original gang aka Wolverine, Storm and the rest! t: And I'm pretty sure most of the mainstream viewers would say the same thing!

Well, Producer Shuler Donner said X4 (DOFP?) would lead to X5.

Also, the FC actors signed a three-year contract, so maybe there's a third FC.

Personally, I look forward to X5. I never really liked FC as much as the first two movies in the franchise.

Honestly, this franchise needs to start looking at winding down before they over extend themselves. And no, that doesn't mean start over with a reboot. It means these movies don't have to go on forever and ever and ever.

I'd probably prefer an X-Men 5 over First Class 3, but I'm losing my hype for this franchise. It's already on the verge of doing too much.
