Ive been trying to save money lately, and one of the areas is comics. I'm tryin to cut some titles that I dont have to read ASAP. The reason I am doing this is because the comic store franchise in my area (total of 8 stores) have $1 sales every few months to get rid of overstock and thats where I get about 40% of my series. I enjoyed the X-Men: first class miniseries, but didnt think it would be an ongoing. Now I'm trying to decied whether I should collect First Class on a monthly basis or New X-Men, and just buy the other series once every 6 months for 1/3 of cover price. Right now I'm leaning towards First Class because I really enjoyed the mini and i have a more emotional attachment to the original 5. what are your guys thoughts as to which series looks better for the next year?

i'm not going to keep first class as a monthly. it was funny but too immature for my tastes. I'm hoping for a nice resolution next issue so round off the mini before the monthly.

Yeah, I'm thinking that X-Men: First Class ongoing is a bad idea. The mini was great, but stretching it out? I'm not going to pick it up unless the first 12 issues get really, really good reviews.

I'd stick to New. First off, you know it's going to stick around for awhile. Second...well I'm biased, cause I really like it. But. Yeah, it's good.

New-X-men sucks most of the time

Frist Class....Simple X-men of the original 5, no arcs just one issue story

Get New X-men. Its stories are revelant to the current X-men universe continuity.

The art of New X-Men is hideous, at least I think Scottie Young's art is hideous.

Things like X-Men:First Class are always irrelevant. They're re-writing history with a modern twist and isn't part of canon. It's crap that will be forgotten two days after its inevitable cancellation, just like Professor Xavier and the X-Men, or X-Men: Early Days, or X-Men: Children of the Atom and so many others.

Too bad they didn't go that route with 'Ro and BP and just aknowledge it as demented nonsense, eh? :woot:

I personally get more kicks out of reading it than most current X-titles, but I'll admit it doesn't have much of a point if any. Am actually *really* surprised they turned this one into an ongoing title. :woot:
