We have had 3 types of x-men animated series, 90's animated series, Evolution and Wolverine and the x-men. There was also that Pryde of the x-men thing but that was just wrong.

My question is... Could we have a new x-men series where it follows closer to the comics if not a direct copy?

I was thinking about it, take all the stories from the 60's there was about 63 in total - pick out the more for standing stories make them a 13 episode cartoon series... anyone else think it can work

alot of talk before stated that there wasnt much diversity but the same could be said about Sin City and they made a movie directly on that comic and well 99% of those characters where white americans.

anyway what do you think?

I think your wish is going to come true in about 2 weeks .. lol

There is an X-Men anime coming out in April in Japan which will eventually air on G4 .. I think it's either 12 or 13 episodes. Just google it and you will find some character art and there is a short teaser trailer on youtube.:awesome:

If First Class is a decent hit, I think Marvel could decide to create a new animated series being inspired by the movie.

It would be cute.

But at the same time, I like the design on the anime series so I wouldnt like to have many x-men series at the same time.

Id like just one animated series, but a really great one and with some seasons, not just one, like Wolverine & the x-men.

Lets hope the anime one is good and they give green light to a second season really soon, with the whole team.

I think they should make a cartoon that is really close to the Comics, they should follow the timeline of 616 universe. You know first there was Professor X and the first 5 X-Mens. Then at some point, Professor X will recruit, Wolverine, Banshee, Storm, etc. Up to the point where Hope Summers arrived.

^could they of made cycops look more a feminine....?

I think the artwork is more feminine than the actual animation.

at least watching the teaser.

I think it wont be a problem.

i really enjoyed the 90's cartoon and hopefully they will create another series close to comics. i liked wolverine and the x-men but it just missed something that the 90's toon had.

see i dug Wolverine and the X-Men and X-Men Evolution more than the 90s X-men. whereas i can see Marvel going this route and making a First Class cartoon being the next step.

We've got the Anime, so, no, I very highly doubt we will get a 'First Class'-based cartoon.

I am excited about the Anime, though. It should bring more of that serious tone and definitely more of the rough action that an X-Men show deserves.

Regarding the femininity of Cyclops, Manic explained to me that masculine leaders are often portrayed that way in Animes. It's sort of the typical leader's build and stance. It may seem effeminate, but I guess it's not meant to be.

Woah! The opening scene of episode 1 is how X-3 should have ended! Goooo watch it guys!

saw it!!!!!!!! and it blows TAS out of the water!!!! I def. gonna like this...

^Yep it's pretty epic.

Holy ****.

Just watched it. Amazing. No words really, this has so much potential.

One of the American toon networks/Marvel should seriously give this a syndicated run.

I would love to get a full fledge series with this team. They seriously outdid themselves.

Incredible.

Bamf you should seriously check it out when you get the chance. I think you'll really enjoy it.

As for the male anime effeminate thing, yeah thats long been an anime trope.

Wolverine luckily didn't get feminized like he did in his own anime (shudders) that was terrible, this on the other hand is really fantastic.

My God that is a terrible character design. :cmad: Suddenly makes his W&TXM design look a lot better by comparison (and that design wasn't all that great either).

Just watch the show .. you can't really compare a picture to the animation ..

the problem with that artwork is the pose he has.

In the show he looks much much better.
