Is this an actual teaser poster to be released in theaters, or more like just promo work ala the pics for Iron Man and Hulk?

I wouldn't mind if they made posters resembling the comic covers, but I'd prefer if it were done in live-action.

What I like about this poster is that it's so distinctly different from anything else a person walking into a movie theater is going to see. I mean, as cool and simplistic as just the smiley face with blood on it would be for people who already know what Watchmen is, it wouldn't do much for people who don't. This is guaranteed to make people look at the huge yellow lettering on the side and google it when they get home so they can figure out what the hell "Watchmen" is.

Yeah, we'll know the actual poster because the words "from the director of 300" will be bigger than the movie title.

I love the book Watchmen and 300 and Dawn of the Dead were great so I have complete faith in Zach Synder.

Eh I would be disappointed if it was just a smiley face with blood.

I prefer the new artwork by Gibbons that shows The Comedian before the blood is about to land on the smiley face and in the style of the comic book covers.

I'd like to see posters for all the characters and something similiar to this one not just the standard character stands still pose but some action/crisis is happening.
