watched like a minute of it, but I'll wait for the full version. So far it doesn't look special.

Final warning on this...

NO LINKAGE TO BOOTLEG FOOTAGE, BOYS & GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My heart was literally POUNDING before I watched this teaser. They took most of them down so I had to settle for the leaked version from somebody's phone at SDCC. Right away, the entire tone and mood put a tear to my eye. This looks so incredibly deep with emotional plot that this movie could DEFINE the DC Nation. Some parts I couldn't tell what was going on, but reading the description, I'm even MORE excited than I ever have been. Bring on July 20th!

I was the same couldn't believe I was about to finally see something

I don't think there is to be honest think the 3 screens is it but remember back when SR's was out we never got the leaked footage (as far as I can remember) think all we got was leaked sound so we're lucky to have seen anything.

Am I the only one hoping to see some of Snyders trademark style!

I would love to see some Epic shots of Superman in Slo-Mo and really hope there are some. I've been around on youtube and a lot of people are saying no to it but I think it's amazing and Snyder does do it in style and he would bring some very Kinetic moments visually in slo-mo awesomeness.

But so far I seem to be the only one asking for it.

Pretty much summed up how i felt/feel. Didn't think i could get any more excited bout this film but since seeing the trailer i can't stop thinking of the possibilities in this film and hopefully the trilogy it spawns!

In all honesty, I was hoping to see some of this as well... but I'm sure we will see this in just the right amounts in the actual film. Perhaps they wanted to separate this movie from 300 and Watchmen, considering that Immortals didn't fare so well and they associated that movie with 300. Too much of a 300 type feel and you will not garner people who really hate that type of filmmaking.

Ok, thanks guys. I thought I had seen all that was available, but some have worded posts in such a way as to indicate there was a better version out there. I hate Comic Con weekend because the flood of people who either are brand new or have been around or never posted. There's also the abundance of knee jerk reactions and subsequent hyperbole. Productive conversation has been hard to come by.

I wish like hell there were something I could glean from the leaked footage for an opinion. All that can really be said is "I like the voices that speak," or "I haven't seen The Thin Red Line in a while." Other than that, there's not much that seems can really be said with what we've got.

From what I've seen of the low-quality bootleg footage from Comic-Con, yes I'm sure the trailer is going to impress those who were really anticipating this movie.

But based purely on what I've seen, and what I've heard about the teaser in front of TDKR being called more of an "announcement piece"... I'm not sure if I agree with the marketing strategy here. And no, this isn't because I'm a huge Superman fan and I lack patience. Obviously I want a full length trailer with all the splendor... but I'm pretty sure that's what this film needs too. This franchise doesn't have the benefit of reputation anymore. Superman Returns left a bad taste in everybody's mouth and it was really only a few years go.

Yes the trailer appears to be good but it may not be enough to get the proper amount of buzz required to push this thing into high gear. If they really want to put their stamp on this thing and say "This is ****ing Superman god damnit and you should be excited"... then I think they need to show a little more and leave the people in the audience with their jaws on the floor.

If the general consensus after the trailer is simply "That new Superman movie looks interesting"... then they may have failed. It should leave people saying, "Wow I can't wait to see ****ing Superman".

But time will tell. I hope I eat my words.

That is a very respectful way of saying, "They didn't show enough". I agree to a point... but hopefully the appearance of the all star actors will make audiences curious. It worked for BB after the bad taste of the Schumacher films. I know there was a longer gap between those films, but you know... hopefully... there is always a hopefully.

First you tease the audience. Get them mildly curious, or even interested. Then you blow their minds with a trailer a little down the road.

Teaser trailers are slowly becoming full trailers.

I think that's more of a job for the first official trailer. As a teaser this early, it's still fine to hint of something major on the horizon...even if it's 'Superman again'. Material-wise, there seems to be just enough to imply that this won't be just another nostalgic walk down Heritage Lane or what have you.

First impressions are everything though, as you can only "tease" something when there's a genuine interest there to begin with. And you must first create that interest.

Superman may me Superman, and yes he's arguably the most iconic fictional character in American mythology... but the general audience has already been there and done that. And it wasn't that long ago. Had it not been for Superman Returns I'd have said fine, go with a teaser. But we are beyond that point now. In this era of reboots and remakes, the audience might grow tired of another attempt at rehashing another iconic film franchise. You can't simply just throw the bait out there and hope they bite, because they may not. If you want to create buzz for this movie, I think you have to knock their socks off and go full on with the trailer. I really do. I mean of course I may be wrong... but that's just how I feel right now.

Give the audience more than just a small taste right now. Give them something they could live with and stew over until the Superbowl, and THEN go for the kill. If by that point there isn't a fever pitch anticipation (like Avengers), then I believe they may have failed.

This is Superman. Act like it.

With a teaser trailer.

With a teaser trailer.

Can an average looking chick with no overt sexual qualities show you some cleavage and get you excited? Or does she need to work a little harder to grab your attention? I mean sure maybe if you haven't been laid in like 5 months and there's no other chicks in the bar, but if you have your eyes on someone else and you're already swimming in *****... that girl is gonna need to make herself stand out.

The Superman film franchise is that average looking chick, and the general audience has been absolutely SWIMMING in comic book movie ***** for 10 years now. In fact they just had a taste of Superman in 2006. They've already dipped into that and it wasn't even a good lay.

Man Of Steel needs to go all out in it's marketing.

Yes, she can. And watch the language, cause you're likely looking at a ban.

Sorry, new poster here. Didn't know I couldn't use sexually suggestive language.

But like I said, only time will tell about the MOS trailer. I'm sure mostly everyone here will get around to seeing TDKR so we'll all be able to gauge the audience reaction.

All the more reason not to stick so much of him in everyone's face, and to carefully craft a sense of mystery and anticipation. The worst thing that you could do for Superman is to overexpose him too early like most everyone else. They have to do better than past efforts in the art of the tease and implying that it will knock your socks off, then delivering when you see it....not in not in showing their hand almost completely, and especially not so early.

From what I could hear from it, it sounded spectacular. Hope this proves to be Snyder's finest work.

Is the music original?
