Well I know 3 people who grew up on transformers yet forgot soundwave. we all have our stories.

Honestly and truthfully... I just can't see that. Can't prove it (and neither can you) but I can't see it.

Did they grow up overseas? I saw TF in spanish once... Soundwave sounded just like any other robot... and yeah, he may have been forgettable. But not in the U.S. version IMHO. I call B.S. on that one.

Call it all you want. I never said their memory wasn't jogged after a minute or two. But before I started inquiring they had totally forgotten.

I grew up a Transformers fan and to be honest with you until I came to Superhero Hype and to the Transformers thread, I had forgotten about Soundwave. The only TFs I remember were Optimus, Megatron, Bumblebee, Starscream, Grimlock, and Devastator.

I grew up here on the East coast so yes even people who grew up watching them can forget about them.

Tsk tsk. Maybe a couple of years makes a difference? Your entry into TF was late perhaps (85 vs 83)? The only TF's around in a ubiquitious way for over a year before the cartoon and comic came out were the cassettes (Ravage, Lazerbeak, etc)... which led to everyone I knew wanting Soundwave.

How anyone could forget that voice is beyond me. But, I guess anything is possible.

How can anyone forget about soundwave?? Maybe his name yeah but i can never forget about the bot that transformed into a boom box and had cassettes that transformed into bots too.
