Flags of our fathers worth the purchase?

I cancel my netflix because I want to go back to buying dvd's! So my question is, to those who have seen it, is it worth the purchase?

NO.

Do NOT buy the DVD...

At least not yet. There are no special features at all on it.

There will most likely be a huge DVD pack with 'Flags' and 'Iwo Jima' that has a TON of special features.

So, if you just want the film and nothing else... by all means, get it. But, just thought I would let you know that when 'Iwo' is released on DVD there will most likely be a huge "double dip" for the film on DVD.

i just watched the film last night. it was a bit of a let down for me. it starts out well enough...the second act becomes a mixed bag, good moments but its pretty much the same thing over and over....the third act was just lame. i hear letters from iwo jima was better. i look forward to it.

Rent it, I did and thought it's not worth buying. It's a good movie but not(to me) worth keeping

Decent movie but it falls prey to being oscar bait and drags quite a bit, definately not worth a buy...

Don't bother man. Like others have said...they'll probably bring out a two-box set in the future with both films/additional special features.

In addition, Flags of Our Fathers doesn't even compare to Letters from Iwo Jima imo.
