Now that they both have their spin-off directors, what do you think?

I'm sorry I don't know how to post links to the articles that talk about them, so just go to superherohype.com to read them.

This will be interesting, Will we have JLA continuity film(s) coming out every year after 2009? I really hope there will be sequels to JLA and that the team doesn't disband at the end so individual characters can branch out. I really wanna JLA sequel with Darkseid.

The Green Lantern film should be cool, hopefully it'll introduce Kyle, and Hal.

i was hoping for films outside the JLA continuity lke superman returns and batman begins are, it probably cheaper to do it this way though.

im pretty happy that they're doing spin offs. like marvel is doing with their movies now they can use any characters they want without worrying about what studio or company has the rights to them so its possible for some crossover references or cameos like nick fury in iron man.

i agree with introducing hal jordan and kyle rayner. at the very least hal jordan. he is the original GLC member for earth, i hope hes mentioned in someway.

im really excited about what im hearing about how they're handling the flash legacy in the JLA and subsequent flash movie. that is all ill say.

Not sure about Aquaman, always found him too be a lame character.

poor aquaman. hes really not a lame character but he suffers so much from his portrayal on super friends. read JUSTICE with art by alex ross. aquaman shines in that story.

You know, I still can't believe they're actually making a Justice League movie. But if it helps them get a few individual franchises off the ground, I guess I'm all for it.

Wonder Woman is more suited for a long term franchise, IMO, than anyone else out, but I wouldn't mind seeing an Aquaman film DONE RIGHT.

Yeah. When Aquaman's treated with respect, he is an excellent character.

Wonder Woman better get her own film, of all the characters she deserves it, but because she is a woman people are skeptical.

they've been trying for sometime but it keeps falling through. i think joss whedon didnt end up doing it because of creative differences?

I remember Whedon whined in an article about how hard it was to write the film.

He lost serious cool points with me after that. I thought he'd be perfect for it.

How hard could it be? David Goyer wrote Batman Begins in 3 weeks, if I recall correctly.

he should've done it perfectly, he writes women so well. i think hes problems came from the way he was talking about portraying her. he wanted her to be new to mans world and i think he was making her a little too weak for who the character should be. when theres a WW movie she needs to end up being who we think of as a bad ass woman in movies.

Well, I don't have a problem with him taking a long while to write it. Some writers are wired differently. You can get someone who can churn out a 120 page script in two weeks, whereas someone else might take five months to pen a 90 pager.

I just have a problem with him whining about how hard it was to write for the character, if I recall correctly. Dude took on the project. He should've known whether or not it'd be difficult.

Wonder Woman should be The Bride with superpowers. :hyper:

I'm just saying that Whedon was involved for about 2 years and, as far as we know, he didn't do anything.

I do kind of want to see a wonder woman film,

P.s. Cool avatar cmill216

who should the villain be in the the flash movie? i really like zoom but i think thats too easy. especially considering that sinestro NEEDS to be the villain in GL. either that or desparo.

^ Captain Cold.

good villain but do you think he could hold his own in a movie against the flash? even if he freezes the flash he can vibrate his way out, problem solved. i think cold would be good in an ensamble villain cast with cpt. boomerang and mirror master.

oh GRODD! grodd is a great flash villain. he can get past the flashes speed with his mind control... however having a talking gorilla as the main villain could be kind of cheesy. it would make for alot of great one liners from wally though.

Maybe, but it could also be fantastic, I would like to see captain Cold, but the flash has so amny good villiains, that you could put more than one in a movie and not have it come out like spiderman 3

I want an Aquaman film..............Maybe in the future. He is NOT a lame character at all. I hate how people think he is lame because he "talks" to fish. Granted, he does, but he's so much more than that.

As for GL, yeah, they should go with Sinestro, especially if they use Hal, but they will probably put John instead, especially if it's gonna be a direct spinoff from JL like the Flash film. Flash villains? Ummm, maybe something like we saw in that JLU episode that had Mirror Master, Captain Cold, Captain Boomerang, and, yes, The Trickster! (Now I'm getting carried away...LOL!)

i love that episode of JLU actually. the best part is even batman and orion underestimate the villains because of their gimmicks but they learn, they learn. the part at the end what orion says about flash is great.

its something like "i understand now, you play the fool to hide a warriors pain."
