So, I was looking at Body Wash ingredients not too long ago for the stuff I use (Old Spice) and was looking at all the crap they put in it. Got me thinking about the foods we all eat too and all the chemicals that we are drinking and eating that are not good for us in the long term. And it got me thinking....how did we come to this?

At what point did "Now made with real fruit!" become special. Shouldn't it be made from real fruit anyway? And if it's not...then why the heck am I drinking the chemicals they have in place of it?? Many people are allergic to Red 40 and it's put in the most unlikely of things...Why?

Why are we satisfied to eat chemicals that in the long run can be linked to all sorts of health issues later on in life? Why don't we reject these things and force companies to change by hitting them in their wallets?

It seems the more I become aware of what we are eating or putting on our bodies the more disgusted I get and the farther I want to get away from all that crap.

Am I the only one who actually cares that we are eating man-made chemicals?

Nope, there's a bunch of us fitness and health nuts out there.

That sort of brings up another sad state of our country (maybe even other parts of the world). People who don't want to ingest chemicals are considered "health nuts". At least that's the common phrase.

Shouldn't it be the other way around? People who eat trash are called Chemical nuts or Junk Eaters? hehe

Sorry, just thought it was funny that that really is the view nowadays.

I'd pay extra for antibiotic free food, but I'm not so concerned with hormones. Mostly talking about meat

Sometimes I shop at the organic food places, but they're prices are so high it's hard for me to constantly shop there.
