I'm not even a fan of Iron Man but I did like the first movie and I must say after seeing just a few hints of Rourke with those laser whips, WOW! that is some amazing s***.

War Machine with all those badass machine guns looked cool too and Robert Downey once again brings his charisma to Tony Stark which is the real reason the IM movies work, any other actor and Iron Man might've been lost among the summer movies.

What I really don't care about is Scarlett Johanson and her manly deep voice, just her presence alone scores a low point in the movie.

I saw this footage a few days ago on YouTube - and yeah total nerdgasm!!

it's gonna be better than the original - which is gonna be REALLY hard to do!

But I have faith in the writers, director Jon Favreau, and the entire cast!!

Plus the folks at ILM and the other magic makers to make the fantastic, believable

IMHO, the footage was awesome! Looks like the story is compelling with great character development while moving along and introducing new characters/threats! I really admire Favreau as a film-maker.

As for the War Machine versus Iron Man debate, I kind of think it is a compromise to find an opponent to match Tony personally and technically as in Rhodey versus Tony and War Machine versus Iron Man. You wouldn't have that kind of compelling contrast in story with...let's say...The Crimson Dynamo. The Crimson Dynamo is a great antagonist for Iron Man but times have changed since The Dynamo's introduction and the Russian Cold War story line doesn't work well anymore. We probably won't see that particular armored threat on film in that incarnation for that reason.

That's why I find some story-line satisfaction with War Machine. Plus the visuals are just plain AWESOME!!!
