I need an underskirt/slip thingy for a dress I'm wearing for a costume.

It's lacey, and kinda long or kinda short, and adds extra volume to the skirt.

The best example I can come up with is either the French Maid costumes.

What the hell is that thing called? Two people have told me, but I can kinda remember the way it sounds, but I think my spelling is of...

I think it begins with a 'K'...

Well, no, it's not like a tutu. The tutu's use a Taffeta (sp?) type material.

This is more cotton-y and lace...

You'd have to go to the middle ages to get something like that:confused:
No you don't... Women wearing them under elaborate weddings dresses all the time.

Hells to keep the bell shape in the skirt.
