Forever Evil

What do you guys think of Bane's new coat in Arkham War? Personally I rather have DC comics copy Bane's look from Arkham Origins video game, rather than the look from TDKR

I like movie Bane's look a million times more than comic Bane's, so I dig the coat.

I know that Bane's Costume from the comics needed change. However, the video game "Arkham Origins" fixed all of that, while staying faithful to the original look. The TDKR is too different from the original and I think it kind of sucks, even though I enjoyed the movie. I hope he keeps the mask.

FE #6:

Wow what a good issue, I really like the bad guy roster on this team.

Black Manta stabbing Alfred to death was so ruthless and cool, also Atomica couldn't do much do him as he was all sealed up even at the atomic level, very cool details.

And Captain Cold shows how badass he really is even without powers and breaking off Quick's leg was very fitting.

Batman came off as a bit blind I felt as he was still trying to boss everyone around. Understandable as Dick's life was in jeopardy. Luthor had the right idea, I thought Batman would think of it.

I knew it was Alex, as most of us predicted, but him absorbing powers was a great twist.

I'm surprised people still think it's Darkseid - it's not, he's been used already, from a story standpoint it would be redundant to have him as the "surprise" villain. Most likely Anti Monitor. I remember seeing that tear in the Green Lantern series that got cancelled

Yeah, did everyone see the conclusion to Forever Evil (as well as the "fallout" issues) has been delayed two months?

Last minute rewrite of the issue? Didn't this happen with Infinite Crisis, where Dick was on the chopping block before?

Maybe Dick does have a superpower... Delaying his death until nobody wants to kill him anymore.

It would be surprised if it really was about Dick's fate though.

Delayed two months?!

That's ridiculous. Although to be fair I've not been enjoying it, but two months on their big event book is pretty bad.

it's only delayed a month, two months from when #6 released. I'm not sure why the delay is happening, but DC wouldn't do this if they didn't have a good reason.

Someone on CBR asked Finch, and the artist kinda took the blame. Seeing it's a double sized issue, it's not that surprising.

Even with a double sized issue he's a month behind what would be a regular schedule.

I don't even like Finch's art, I wish they had Ivan Reis as the artist for this story.

I can only agree about that. I don't like the art of people like Finch or Jim Lee. All their characters look the same, they don't have any personality. It kinda works as cover art, but it does nothing to me for interior arts. On the other hand, Reis is amazing. I know it will never happen, but I would like to see Frazier Irving working on a big event. His work on Batman has been unique and incredible.

I didn't used to like Frazier Irving... but then he did Morrison's final arc of Batman & Robin and I was sold. It was gorgeous. I've liked it ever since and went back to reread Silent War (which was where I first saw him) and liked it there as well. He was apparently an acquired taste for me.

And yeah, Finch is alright, but he's no Reis.

Irving style is weird, so I can totally udnerstand why some people need some time to get used to it, or don't like it.

Irving is great for trippy stories. Hewas perfectly suited for all Grant's work that he was on.

The only event I can really see him fitting with would have been Final Crisis.

I asked Finch about the delay at MegaCon last Friday, and he said, as best I recall, "Well, it's 48 pages, and there's a lot going on in it, so it's taking some time." He was a really nice guy, though, and I got the sense there was more to it than that, but he didn't want to get into it. I didn't really press the issue either, because I was having a sketch done, and I didn't want to risk ticking him off.:oldrazz:

Haha, it was probably a smart move!

Anyway, as long as the issue delivers, I'm not worried about the delay. I've been really loving Forever Evil since the first issue.

Is the last issue a double sized? I can't remember if I read that somewhere or not.

The collected core series is up for pre-order on Amazon...is it worth picking up?

Yep.

Also, anyone read JL #29? Cyborg Vs. Grid was god damn cool.

I found the fight in the virtual word awesome. And a little inspiring...reminisent of the matrix a little. and some other classic dual stories.

oh yeah...what is her origin. We know she's Lois Lane. But is she an Amazon?

I don't think she's an Amazon, but it is curious how she got her powers if she wasn't.

JL 29 was EPIC!!! METAL MEN!!!!!! Love that they're finally in the New 52.

I wish FE 7 was out, especially since next week has a lot of post-FE issues coming out. (Justice League United, Teen Titans, etc.) do we have a confirmed date for release?
