Forever Evil

I don't think she's an Amazon, but it is curious how she got her powers if she wasn't.

JL 29 was EPIC!!! METAL MEN!!!!!! Love that they're finally in the New 52.

I wish FE 7 was out, especially since next week has a lot of post-FE issues coming out. (Justice League United, Teen Titans, etc.) do we have a confirmed date for release?

FE 7 is out the end of May. 21st, IIRC.

Justice League 29 was really good. I honestly didn't care a lick about the Metal Men, but they were fun in this issue. I'm also glad that Cyborg referenced his having met Platinum or Plutonium or whatever her name was in an earlier issue of Justice League. Now if only Forever Evil 7 will come out! This delay is killing it for me.

It did bug me that they brought the events of other comics into the issue though. I've not been reading those, but suddenly here comes two people who haven't been in the story at all showing up with Wonder Woman's lasso and the means to save the Justice League. I'm not sure if that references events in Justice League of America or the Argus mini, but either way, it was a distraction. I was planning on just sticking with the two Geoff Johns comics. Oh well. I'm sure I'll read them in time.

Pretty sure it was from JLA. And it's a crossover event so what did you expect? Of course they're gonna bring in events of other comics into the issue. Dunno why this bugs you.

It wasn't from JLA. That's been about Star Girl rescuing everyone from Firestorm's Matrix.

AHhh yeah forgot about that. Either way, it's a crossover event so he should expect things to be popping up from other comics.

Not without the little editors note box, I mean just that would have been nice, they didn't give us anything close to that.

True but oh well, I dunno gonna bother some people and not others. Whatever haha.

Thoughts on the finale?

It was an ok finale but it basically becoming a Luthor issue didn't really excite me. Everyone else got pushed to the back and we still didn't get a Superwoman origin which is annoying. Why did she suddenly turn green though? And it is funny that thus far everyone alt.version of WW has a child.

It was sad to see Bizarro get offed and Luthor coming to the conclusion about Bats was nice along with the Anti-Moniter reveal.

I think that Lex is one of the DCU's best characters so I loved the fact that he was essentially the protagonist of Forever Evil.

I remember reading how they were planing on giving Greyson an arch nemesis for his upcoming ''Greyson'' title.

judging by the outcome of Forever Evil 7, I'm thinking its gonna be Owlman

also good to see Ted Kord back

Sex Luthor has been amazing under Johns and I'm loving JLex so far. This dynamic is great and I love he's sincerely trying to be a hero.

Same here. It's been so long since The Black Ring that I was craving another excellent modern Lex centric story and this one delivered. Good to see that Johns still remembers how to end an event.

Due to my encyclopedic knowledge of all things DC I correctly predicted the outcome of certain Earth 3 characters (Alexander and Lois) and their ties to Crisis many months ago same with the being behind the red skies. Even with that panning out though there were still some great surprises.

Lex's reaction to Bizarro's plight and his response to it all in terms of how he got revenge against his Earth 3 counterpart was just brilliant, the Ultraman resolution was hilarious and as someone who has hated Atomica since Trinity War her fate was expecially satisfying :woot: Also really dug Sinestro and Black Adam becoming BFF's it's funny how much that actually makes sense.

I'm also digging the new status quo. Justice League #30 was a great read as well.

This

Good guy or bad guy I consistently find Lex Luthor a entertaining character.

I have to read all issues at once now. I'm sure it will be even better. The whole FE and its Justice League tie-in has shown the haters that Johns is a great writer.

I think I'm bout to sit down and read all seven issues. Lex has seriously become probably my favorite villain of all time in recent years. He's just so richly complex and Johns knocked it outta the park here IMO. I love where they're going, the last panel of JL#30 holy ****! I am so stoked for this! I do wonder now though just how much Lex will leverage this info over Bruce's head and if Bruce will decide to hide Lex knowing this from Clark. Kinda obvious that he's going to use it as a means to get Bruce to agree to his admittance into the league.

After all the awesomeness I completely forgot about Ted ****ing Kord! I just about jumped up out of my chair squealing like a little girl when he appeared but yea, everything else just eclipsed that moment so much. God, I really ****ing loved this event! And Captain Cold! I so am loving Leonard as a character here lately as well. There's something about this dude. I have just gotten familiar with his character over the last year but he's surprisingly complex and totally more of a badass than I ever realized. Seriously, I want a Lex Luthor an possibly even a Captain Cold solo series. I don't know if anything like that has ever happened before but I think they both deserve it just like Sinestro has. I dunno, I'm rambling at this point. All I know is these two issues got me incredibly excited about where all this is headed right now. I'd love to see this all end up going bad for Lex but him trying still wanting to do the right thing and help save the world how he can and maybe end up giving us an Injustice League series. Now THAT would be sick!

I would love a Captain Cold solo series. Rouges issues were great.

Well this new Status Quo is neat and I enjoyed the story Forever Evil but damn could you imagine if Reis had drawn it? Finch brought this from a 10/10 to and 9/10 because he is never ****ing consistent with proportions or his line work.

He escaped.

Got hit by Black Adams lightning and then locked up.

How do they keep her locked up? I didn't see her chained. And if she is that earth' Wonder Woman, nothing could hold her unless she wants to be. I didn't understand that one. Also. We never got an origin for her. Why the heck is she Lois, if she is Diana's doppelgänger ?
