Interesting.

So Heimdall's "Can you not see! You're leading us to Hel!" comment could be foreshadowing Thanos' attack on their ship in IW. The one snag is that Ragnarok mentioned nothing of Hela ruling Hel. She was on Asgard and traveled around the 9 Realms conquering with Odin before she was banished into some dimension that kept her locked up.

Just because Ragnarok didn't mention Hela ruling Hel, it doesn't mean that it didn't potentially happen. Where exactly Odin was holding Hela during her imprisonment was never revealed, but it certainly seems that he was holding her in an actual realm or dimension rather than a physical prison, as seen in Valkyrie's flashback. Who's to say that realm wasn't Hel? It would be so like Hela to be imprisoned in a realm, and then go on to conquer it and claim the throne.

Whether she actually died or teleported away at the end of Ragnarok, either way she could have found her way back to Hel.

Also these ideas come from all the clues being explored. Why did Cate Blanchett had an interview with that specific statue on the background? Marvel doesn't do this sort of mistakes. There was no scene with Hela and that specific statue in Ragnarok. That statue is from Hel as it was said by Heimdal... There's also a suspicious hooded figure that goes by Thor... I think Hela will indeed come back and they will pay off all the small hints left in Ultron.

Cate being interviewed infront of that particular statue is a big red flag for me. That statue didn't appear in Ragnarok at all so shouldn't have been on the set unless there was originally a whole other plot thread in the film tying back to AoU which was later removed, which seems highly unlikely. Yet we know for a fact that the statue was on the set of IW. It's all very curious.

I don't care how they do it, I just want Hela back. :waa:

After seeing that gif again - yup I'm convinced Thor is forced to watch Loki die for real.

In that shot with Loki and the Black Order [blackout]one of them has a spear[/blackout] so I am wondering if Loki is going to die [blackout]the same way he killed Coulson in Avengers.[/blackout]

It seems RDJ's favorite scene from IW also features Thor :)

Speaking with the Toronto Sun, Downey said his favorite moment of the third Avengers film is one that audiences have already seen in the first trailer. “My favorite shot in the movie has already been seen,” Downey Jr. revealed. “And it’s when Thor, who’s just totally gnarled up, turns and goes, ‘Who the hell are you guys?’ and you cut to the Guardians [of the Galaxy]. I’m like sold.”

Downey Jr.’s love for this scene is so strong he went on to say that, “if the whole third movie was that scene, we’re fine.” Unfortunately for him, Infinity War will not solely revolve around Thor’s first meeting with the Guardians of the Galaxy — but it does boast a scene where Iron Man has a run-in with the Guardians, which appears to be almost as satisfying.

I'm dying to see if there's a bit of a tussle between he and the Guardians. I mean he's gotta be a bit panicked/disoriented in that moment.

One thing I feel the Russos will really get right is portraying Thor's power set persuasively. Of all the MCU characters, his power level fluctuates wildly from scene-to-scene and I'd hope they've fixed that a bit.

Oh, I'm sure we won't be seeing the toned down Thor this time.

I know this is a long shot, but I still can't help but wonder if there's a chance we'll see Megingjord (Thor's belt of strength) considering it was briefly referenced in Spider-Man Homecoming. Interestingly enough, I believe the belt's last comic book appearance was in Thor Vol 2 #25, where Thor took on and defeated none other than Thanos himself.

Thor using his belt of strength against Thanos?

I'll allow it! *Mills Lane voice*

Too bad we won't be able to witness this particular feat, though, given Mjolnir's current state.

I know he'll have Stormbreaker... but it's just not the same.

Thor has summoned a godblast without Mjolnir before, he emitted the blast from his body.

It looked similar to when Majin Vegeta self destructed to destroy Majin Buu on Dragon Ball Z.

I’m sure that’ll be the case so we get the maximum impact that could be gained from a Loki death. Not sure many other heroes would be shedding too many tears outside of Thor.

Interesting. I would have liked Thor to go away and get fully kitted out with things like this to go with his new weapon for such a huge fight. Guess we’d have heard something by now if this was likely.

Yeah, I remember you telling me that. I just meant we wouldn't be able to see him use the belt in conjunction w/ Mjolnir, as I'm partial to that particular panel from Alone Against the Celestials. DeFalco's run in general used to give me life back in the day! lol

Oh yeah true, definitely a missed opportunity.

If you haven't already read the following, I highly recommend Thor vol.1 #387-389. You'll thank me. ha ha

Also, it goes without saying, but Walt Simonson's run is a must read. I'd get on that first, and then continue with DeFalco's run.

When Thor gets Stormbreaker he will probably gets himself a new cape and the armoured sleeves just as he did in the Avengers.

Man I sure hope Thor brings back his other weather related powers like tornadoes, thunderstorms, or hopefully even hurricanes.

In Ragnarok it was mostly just lightning but their were some cool looking storm clouds as well.

After looking at this image closely i'm pretty much sure he is holding Stormbreaker with both hands.
