I figured I could ask this board, since I know that we have some French hypesters that frequent here.

I'm looking for quotes and/or passages either about the French talking about America or the American talking about the French. Can you help me out? (especially on the French talking about America bit)

DO YOU MEAN AVERAGE CITIZENS, POLITICIANS, OR WHAT?

Actually, I've been curious about a similar topic. I'll be going to Germany next year to visit a friend in the army, and am wondering about what I can expect from the average German. Should I prepare myself for a lot of rudeness or is it not so bad?

Kane, the title of this thread made me think that maybe you'd had sex with a can of Spagettio's. :(

You say that like its a bad thing.

Some people from paris are normally the ones that are rude, especially if you don't speak french. The others are just like any other country, mostly nice and courteous.

This has been my experience as well. Most French actually really love American culture. I have some friends from Nice and they LOATHE Parisians because they are such arrogant a-holes as a general rule of thumb.

Paris is the Philadelphia of France, you gotta order le philly cheesesteak in english son.

I went to Paris once. Here's some advice: while it's fun to go on a boat ride down the Seine and see all the naked women on the banks, there are a lot of old men in Speedos that ruin the experience, so you're better off looking for landmarks.

He hasn't responded to anything before. But he seems to like using large text and bold letters, so what the hell. When in Rome, you might as well do as celldog does.
