Actually, I've been curious about a similar topic. I'll be going to Germany next year to visit a friend in the army, and am wondering about what I can expect from the average German. Should I prepare myself for a lot of rudeness or is it not so bad?

You'll love Germany, people were very cool to me. I sensed no hostility, they're all pretty laid back. I went to Berlin, Dresden,Munich,Cologne, and Hamburg. My favorite was Dresden, slower paced then Munich, Hamburg and Berlin.

Well, I am in UT at Brownsville. Almost 75% of the students here are of Mexican families. Well, I've heard stories about them going in a group to france. They were four and all of them knew spanish. A guy that was helping them out, who also happened to know spanish, told them to act like Mexicans and to not speak english if they wanted to be treated well.

So yeah...

Also, many who have traveled to France may know this, but Paris people are a-holes.

And also, pretty much every country in America hates people from the USA, except Canada.

But then again, US has screwed South and Center America so bad...

Making fun of Frenchman is no fun anymore. I used to think it was funny, but in the way that Englishman do, not "LOL hurr hurr France surrenders all the time, USA USA!" way people do nowadays. I want to make fun of them for being pretentious and smelly, like in the old days. Then they can make fun of us for being fat cowboys. And we'd all in reality get along.

I see no reason for people on either side to really treat another person on the other badly.

That's not funny, so much as it is disgraceful that that's true. Not that the US is never like that, but still. That's horrifying that in the world that is true.
