Frank Miller's Take on The Spirit

Why do I see 2 or 3 posts that say that Miller will have to bow down to a studio for this or that?

The Spirit is been made indepentently and therefore he won't really have anyone telling him what to do. Michael Uslan and the other producers are huge fans of the property and have stated that it will be very true to the source.

Although I can see why people are worried when Miller says that it will be darker.

I agree with everyone else who says that they would love to see Brad Bird's version of "The Spirit" though. I also think that Sam Raimi could do a really cool version.

I don't mean any disrespect toward Miller, but it's really been a long time since he actually wrote anything that was good.

And basically it sounds like we are getting an All-Star Miller version of The Spirit here.

I agree that Miller can't really go outside of the dark, violent, grim, noir type of themes and stories. Lo and behold he proclaims he is going to appropriate this in his vision of "The Spirit" that will certainly shock fans.

I read the first couple issues of All-Star Batman and Robin. I was shocked, but not in a good way at all. Though turning Batman into MARV is less shocking than it is "******ed" as All-Star Batman would say.

but the spirit is a noir type comic. have u even read any of it? go get the best of the spirit, there are plenty of stories in their that will make u believe that miller will treat the spirit with the respect for the material that it deserves
