It's his money that he's putting on the line....so.........he can spend it when and how he wants...

actually.. "the money" come from people who go by the name "executive producer." rarely does a director finance his own projects. bills are footed and paid elsewhere.

True its the Weinsteins that are putting alot of the money up.....but Robert is a producer on these projects as well, and the studio is his.....so he's putting up alot of his own money in this, more so than a director of a 20th Century Fox movie, or a Universal movie..........he's got more on the line than most directors, so again, its his time and money to spend.

Yes i saw that. I'm probably not gonna even see that dumb movie. i bet its gonna tank just like grindhouse. then he;ll come crawlin back to SC2 begging to start it up as soon as possible.
