We saw Alt. Lincoln in the second episode.

Peter coming back to the Peter-less timeline makes the most sense. There would be really no conflict in everything going back to normal. It would be like Olivia coming back from being stuck on the other side and just picking up where they left off at the end of season two. There's got to be residual effects.

That sounds awesome! Except the impending Olivia/Lincoln/Fauxlivia/Peter thing that'll be going on. Have we seen the Lincoln from "over there" this season? He is an awesome character though

I hate 'other' Lincoln so much.

I wonder if Peter is actually still alive, but stuck in the old universe/timeline. Maybe when he connected the original two, it formed a single new universe that was separated from the one he is in. From his point of view, everyone disappeared when he bridged the original two and he is using Walters tech to connect to the new one. I guess we will find out soon.

yayee Peter is back....... time for some awesme meetups........... TWO WEEKS

Hmm...I think Peter's come back too soon.

But it's good to see he'll have to interact with the timeline that doesn't know him. Wonder how they'll explain his return, and if they're going to fix everything by season's end.

They give us THAT, and make us wait two weeks?!

Somebody's going to be chomping at the bit...(me :()

Eh. Too soon would've been by the end of the first episode. Four episodes is a good length of time.

I still could have used a little more buildup. More Peter trying to push his way through.

At least one more episode. Where we see him almost making it at the power station. Then next episode, he finally shows up.

glad peter is back. i was expecting him back 4-5 eps in.

i noticed blue flashes during the intro title and i thought that was foreshadowing his return but i went and looked at previous eps and they had the blue flashes too :(

I wonder if Peter is going to use the Machine again to go back to the last thing he remembers & fix everything ?

so, if Peter fixes the timeline, than this whole season is a shamm

I don't think Peter is going to fix the timeline, or be able to. And it's not to early for him to return. He's been gone almost a quarter of a season.

What I do think, is that Peter is going to have a lot of knowledge about things that the other characters have not yet encountered this season. He'll be the go-to-guy now. Examples being the Cortexifan children. Clearly Walter and Olivia have never encountered them in this timeline, but Peter knows all about that.

It's also only a matter of time before the watchers come in major play.

Can't wait to see where this goes!

you and me both. I dont mind waiting a week...but when i seen...in 2 weeks....i damn near died a little bit.

Great episode this week. Will be interesting to see what they do with Peter now.

And John Noble was superb, as always. The character of Walter is one of my favourite on TV, and I love how he alternates between an almost clinical depression one minute, and crazed outbursts the next - I laughed at loud when he was ranting (unheard of course) at Nina in this week's episode.

I think they're going make this a 3rd or 4th timeline

The whole Peter situation is dealt with so the Observers can leave I think.

Now this new timeline will have Alt Peter doing catchup in a timeline that doesn't know him from 8 years old to 30 years old.

The Peter situation isn't dealt with.

He's still not supposed to exist. At all. The Observers will be back to try and fix this again.

Man, I love this show.

If this show gets canceled i'm crossing over the alternative universe where people have good taste.

I asked myself if Peter's energy somehow reanimated his sunken corpse at the bottom of Reiden Lake or at least catabolized it for raw material? That's so far the most awesome explanation I can come up with at the moment, and sounds just Fringey enough to work

That's an interesting idea.

However, if Peter died in the lake - as he's meant to have done in this new timeline - then we have to assume they eventually fished his body out (no pun intended) and gave him a proper burial. I mean, it was just a lake - he wasn't lost at sea or anything. And Walter was with him, so he would have known where the body lay.

So when Peter suddenly re-appeared in the lake in adult form at the end of the last episode, I wonder what happened to the original corpse?

I don't think it has simply disappeared. The timeline hasn't been reset, thus removing this corpse. This timeline is continuing as it was, with Olivia/Walter/etc having no knowledge of who adult Peter actually is and still believing he died as a boy......................... but Peter is back.

I wonder if they'll go down the route of exhuming the original body to try and prove/disprove Peter's identity.

I should add that having Peter suddenly appear in the Lake for his return was a very insightful idea. Apart from the obvious symbolism of water & rebirth, it also harks back to the episode where young Peter (from the alternate universe) tried to get back to his own world by tying himself to a brick and attempting to get back into the Lake. He believed he was from a world beneath the lake. Now Peter has mysteriously re-appeared breaking the water in the lake ................ almost as if he came from a world beneath it.

The Peter situation isn't dealt with.

He's still not supposed to exist. At all. The Observers will be back to try and fix this again.

I was just going with the idea that he fulfilled his purpose of uniting the two alternate worlds and died as a child in the lake.

Now he's an anomaly in a universe that doesn't know him.
