Come on, people, show the love!

Along with Angel, Dead Like me, The Shield and Arrested development , this is one of the greatest shows ever.

It's better than simpsons (mostly because it hasnt been going on for far too long and becoming ****ty, like the cash cow that is th esimpsons) and , although family guy is/was funny, this has smarter humour , better chararters and pure sci fi cool.

Best episodes? For me, Leela's Homeworld, luck of the fryrish and the super hero episode.

I wouldn't call it better than The Simpsons.

It's a GREAT show though, and I was thrilled to hear Comedy Central's making new episodes...

...but it's sad that they'll be out in 2008

I'd say Futurama is better than Simpsons of the last ten years, but not better than the classics of the first 7-8 years.

I say it's way better then the Simpsons I don't like trhe DSimpsons no more because that show s getting alittle corny because they did almost everything so it's no really good to watch to me any more.

I just bought Vol. 2 at Walmart, it was only 20 bucks, I got this one first 'cause it has some of my faves on it. I love the "Popplers" episode, and "Why must I be a crustation in love?" episode.

When Zoidburg freaks out in the gym and causes all those women to give birth, it's just hilarious. "I'm a doctor!"

Better than, at least, the recent Simpsons episodes by a landslide IMO. Awsome that were getting new episodes. Tragic that it is going to be a two year wait..

Futurama is definately better than Family Guy, simply because it has way more heart. There have been episodes of Futurama that can bring people to tears. "Luck of the Fryrish" and "Jurrasic Bark" are two examples.

Yay! New Futurama.

It's better then the Simpsons simply because the Simpsons has now sucked for longer then it was good, and it seems as though it's going to suck for much much longer.

I love Futurama. Of the Fox animated series, it by far has the best writing. Especially how the whole thing comes full circle. (This is all spread out over sporadic episodes).

• Fry falls into the chamber, ending up thawed in the 31st century.
• They find out he has something special about his brain and can't be affected by the evil Brains, and he stops them.
• He goes back to the 20th century, becomes his own grandfather, then goes back to the future.
• He travels to Nibbler's people's planet, and the reason he was unaffected by the Brains and could beat them was becasue he was his own grandfather.
• To make sure the Brains being defeated is part of history, Fry is sent back in time to push himself into the cryogenic freezing chamber.
• If you go back and watch the first episode, you can see what looks like Fry's shadow pushing him in.

It's crazy how they tied what seemed like just normal episodes all together into a story arc.

The Simpsons will always be my favorite cartoon show ever. anyway, Futurama was way kool. favorite episode ever? the one where bender turns human. lol. i got one word for ya... "WOOOOOO" lmao

But Futurama was a great show, IMO, if it had more time, would have gone on to be just as good if not better than the Simpsons.

You guys nailed why I love it.

The continuity is superb, and it has more heart than most shows.

As simpsons got bigger and bigger, they got more arrogant and dislikable as it went on, so I kinda hope that futurama doesnt go the same way. I dont think it will though, because david cohen seemed like an awesome guy from when I had a short chat with him, so I hope it doesnt suffer that curse, or the curse of family guy, where it comes back kinda crappy compared to how it used to be.

I no longer like simpsons because its clear its just a cash cow, the cast got incredibly greedy, and worst of all for a comedy, it mistakes arrogance and pot shots at other shows for humour and is no longer funny, the characters stripped of everything that once made them likeable.

it is good to see Futurama get its fan props. Maybe when its resurrected you all will continue to praise it, and it'll be renewed for more than 13 episodes.

Futurama! I miss that so much!! It is my favourite show ever. It is so funny and witty. I like it so much better than the new Simpsons episodes.
Favourite episode for me would have to be "The Day the Earth Stood Stupid"

Well, Fan, I like Simpsons better but will agree that Futarama is very good. In fact, I think I'd watch it more than the Simpsons.

I guess the best part about it is the possiblity for satire; because it's in the future, they can poke fun at "the past." That means Groening can poke fun of the present. Kind of like on Third Rock from the Sun, how they were able to point out the stupid things that "Humans" do. Good satire, good show.

Favorite line:
Professor: (stands in front of telescope) "It's my new invention. I call it The Smellescope. You can use it to smell distant celestial bodies."
Frey: "Make sure you don't point it at Uranus! Ahahahahah!"

Leela: "Frey, we changed the name of that planet back in the 25th century because you people ruined it with your juvenile humor."
Frey: "Oh? What's it called now?"

Nixon's head is a great character. And that is because the real Richard Milhous Nixon was a great character. Seriously, Nixon is my favorite President. God, I wish I was old enough to hate when he was in office.

Luck of The Fryrish is easily my favorite episode; Every time I see it I cry a little at the end. Seriously. My second favorite is The Devil's Hands are Idle Playthings/Hell is Other Robots. The Robot Devil cracks me up. "These things keep touching me in... places!"

i freaking love futurama... it's my favorite animated show. i'm so glad it's coming back in some form or another.
