I saw Bender's Game (sucked) and Beast with a Billion Backs (meh). I think they'll do better with 20 minutes instead of 90. Even if they're not as good pre-cancellation, I'll watch since there's nothing else on TV.

I finally saw Bender's Big Score. MUCH better than the 2nd and 3rd movies. It also makes me able to watch Jurassic Bark again knowing that [blackout]Seymour didn't have to wait for Fry due to the time duplicate[/blackout].

I hope this doesnt end up like Family Guys return back in 05. But still I dont care I love all these characters sooo much that its almost like if Arrested Development came back after all this time. Allready got my dvr set baby! It says its the 6th season premiere though, I was under the impression that Futurama only had 3 seasons not 5

Family Guy was always just a gimmick IMO. Futurama is always a more intelligent type of humor.

Yea the movies were not as good, but as some said above there were other factors with that, first there was not that many of the writers on the project last I remember hearing. Now they got a lot of them back, not all but more then the movies had. And it works better as a 20 minute show not a 90 minute as Spidey said above.

I have faith that Futruama will be a solid show still.

I thought the first movie was awesome. The other three had their moments but I expect the show to be good. They have good writers and great characters.

Yeah. I haven't seen the last one yet (probably will next week when Netflix sends it). Bender's Big Score was pretty good (I especially loved when Nudar mentioned having sex with his time duplicate). Beast with a Billion Backs was ok. Bender's Game was pretty bad though. Should have been entirely set in the medieval world.

Now that it's a continuing story again, what do you guys think they're going to do with the Fry/Leela relationship, since the whole show was frequently centered on his unrequited crush on her before?

It had four seasons in its original run, and Comedy Central's serialization of the movies is considered the fifth season.

And Futurama didn't suck before it got canceled, like Family Guy did. I thought Family Guy was funny before it got canceled, but when I went back and watched the older episodes I found out it's only because I was like 9 or 10 when the old episodes aired. They are. Seems one of the plot points of the season premiere is there being a second Leyla after the cast goes through their rebirth (whatever that's about) with Fry being torn between them.

At least, that's what I pieced together from all the commercials for this season.

Yeah I agree. I can watch every single Futurama ep and like it. The older Family Guy eps which I clang to as being the best aren't good to me anymore either.

Fun fact: I made a choice tonight between "Futurama" on Comedy Central and "Family Guy" on Adult Swim. It was a "Family Guy" I'd only seen once, and a "Futurama" I'd seen many times. I don't regret going with "Futurama".
