Rebirth had the best line in the entire series:

"So that explains the growth on your chassis." I was dying, I love Zoidberg.

The second ep was better imo.

loved loved loved loved the new episodes. yeah, they seemed a bit off at times (to be expected), but it didnt bother me. it IS weird to see Fry and Leela together in some fashion; though in the first new ep, Leela does suggest that she'll need "some time" before the relationship truly begins, so I see that as the writers way of being able to keep the "fry pining after leela" part somewhat alive.

best line ever:

"Mr. President...what the hell?"

laughed harder than I have in a long time at that one.

As far as the climax of In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela is concerned, I demand compensation for the assault on my shipping senses

Episode 3 must begin with Fry & Leela making out on the couch with Bender scolding them because he can't sit and watch TV

The second episode was better than the first. I love when Zapp is involved in anything, it's always so funny. He lies upon lies upon lies was funny as hell. As was the reveal of what really happened when they crashed.

The old style dreams he was having were also brilliantly done.

Fry's reaction to Leela and Zapp, and how generally horrified he was, was about as funny as you could make it. I'm curious to see how they handle him and Leela for now, but like I've said, I don't want them to just revert to him having an unrequited crush. They got lots of mileage out of that, but now that the show's got a new run, they should think of some new twists. Hopefully that'll happen.

To be fair I was literally laughing out loud during the sequence where Leela realizes Zapp was lying. His reactions were gold.

I like that it demanded Leela and Zapp "consummate their purity" or some crap like that

They should have destroyed V-GINY (V-GER from Star Trek: The Motion Picture reference!) by saying, "Hey look! Your name is vulgar too" , it then blows itself up

That definitely exceeded my expectations especially In A Gadda A Leela. The ending with Zap explaining everything to Leela was priceless lol.

It was very Slurms McKenzie (Who I notice was on one of the screens the Death Sphere censored)

There's a lot of people on IMDB who are complaining the episodes were too raunchy and lost their "clever" tone

I think they'll probably be a little bit more blatant since they're on Comedy Central and won't be doing too much "implied" jokes like they did on Fox. I must say, some of those implied jokes were pretty damn raunchy; like when Bender was pumping that robot, thinking it's keg, and it says, "don't stop." lol

They've definitely upped the raunchy-ness of the new episodes but thats hardly a bad thing

Great start to the new season, both episodes were great.
