Oh dear. Oh well.
You know if they’re looking for a slightly dorky looking but very talented british actor getting a lot of Oscar buzz George McKay from 1917 is still just there
So they lost the original showrunners and now the protagonist. Which means the pilot will be completely scrapped. Real smooth production. At least they still have the monkey.
Oh well maybe it’s all for the best. Start with a clean slate. It’s always hard to walk into someone else’s production when the lead has already been cast etc
Warcraft and Pride alum Ben Schnetzer has been tapped to star in the cabler's adaptation of Brian K. Vaughan's beloved comic series. Schnetzer will take over the role of Yorick Brown — the last living cisgender man on Earth — from Barry Keoghan, who departedthe drama starring Diane Lane in early February.
Schnetzer's credits include Snowden, The Book Thief and Epix limited series The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair.
Hmmm ok I’m not sure. I’m not sure I’m seeing Yorick there. But whatever this is getting to be like the flash with all the delays so maybe it’s better not to get too attached to anyone
I was going to say that this seemed like a betrayal of the concept until I saw that this was a transgender man. Still seems to undercut the premise (I haven't read most of the comic, though), albeit in a very logical way and one that offers its own storytelling possibilities.
It will be on Star in Europe - if I got it right, Star will be rolled out in February and contain the Hulu originals (as far as license agreement allows it)
