Wait, I'm confused. Costigan left behind the evidence that Sullivan was indeed the rat. Madolyn did get it. And Digman did find out.

This is how I remember it. Costigan got the tapes from Frank's lawyer. He sent one to Sullivan but the gf open it and played it first. Sullivan got out of the shower and heard the tape himself! Now wouldnt it be wise for Sullivan to keep the tape instead of just leaving it in there for someone to take. I thought this was pretty obvious he kept the tape and destroyed it. Costigan Called sullivan to meet him up on the rooftop. Costigan Called That black comedian and told him bring Digman along as well on the rooftop. well you know what happen's after that. Digman doenst show up because he's in hiding planning for the perfect murder to kill Sullivan because he got the Captain killled not because he knew he was rat.

That might have been it. I'll have to watch it again. The ending is very open ended. Either one of us could be right.

I saw Infernal Affairs after I saw the Departed and both movies are amazing!

It certainly deserves all the major awards, definitely. If Scorses and DiCaprio are snubbed, the Academy will PAY!

Scorses should win but not sure about Dicaprio. He did a fine performance but if he's going to get it than Mat Damon and Jack have to get one as well! which is why I dont think he will win! Jack will get it.
