The Amazing Spider-Man G Rating or R Rating?

If you take the corniness out of Spider-Man, you kill the best part of the character.

I doubt that we'll ever see an R rated Spider-Man. I'm hoping that they push the PG-13 status to it's limit, to where it's barely PG-13

dont take the corniness out completely
i just dont wanna see lil kids having lines that they cant handle and delivering them badly and keeping it in the film
and no more dancing....i think we all can agree...that was a facepalm more than a funny thing to watch...

I think the dancing could have been good. I don't think Tobey delivered it perfectly.

No one could have delivered on those cringe worthy dancing scenes, that should have been on the cutting room floor.

I think you people take this stuff way too seriously. The dancing was funny.

This is confusing. I read on the boards that the reboot is going to be funny and with lots of quips, appropriate for families to take their kids to watch. But on the other hand, I read that it's going be to dark and brooding like TDK.

So is it going to be a G rated movie or an R rated movie?

I would prefer a hard G rated movie.

Neither.
Sony is not going to shoot themselves in the foot by releasing a Spider-Man movie that kids can't see or that adults don't want to see.

Taking it seriously? I loved the raindrops sequence...heck I liked the pizza scene....but that...was not funny...it was cringe worthy and annoying...and throughout the movie? Upsetting.

For a spider-man film with an R rating, it would have to be a dark spider-man movie. Spider-man would be evil, killing with blood, cussing, and adult content. I know its dark, but a dark spider-man movie would most likely have an R rating.

OMG! When i say dark, I mean SYMBIOTE.

personally I think it would be interesting taking a funny wisecracking character like spidey and puting him in a R rated movie where the villian isn't ****ing around, you get in his way and you're dead.

think john conner in terminator 2

conner - wise arse
T2 - r rated movie
t-1000 - villian who doesn't screwing around

The fact that people actually think a Spider-man movie should be R is silly. Spider-man is NOT a R rated hero.

^Indeed, and why having to choose G or R, when we all know that this kind of movies get a PG13 so that kids and adults can both enjoy it...

Why are we even arguing about this? It's going to be PG-13 no doubt, if we're lucky it'll be a TDK PG-13.

You wanna know what an R-rated Spider-Man movie would be like? Look no further than James Cameron's scriptment from the '90s (y'know, the one that was REJECTED for being too graphic). The world isn't ready to watch Spidey and Mary Jane getting it on atop the Brooklyn Bridge :whatever:.

PG-13. 'Nuff said.

By the way...is it just me, or are the boards running faster than usual now?

I don't mind the corny humor. The raindrops montage in SM2 was corny, but it was all right. The dancing was corny...and too much. There's good corny and bad corny. That was bad.
