Check this out. When Magneto is giving his speech in the woods (they have their weapons, we have ours part), check just behind him when he raises his arms and says "And nothing shall stop us" or something like that. There is a handsome man with long hair and a leather trenchcoat. Could he be the elusive Mr Lebeau? Alongside Magneto were his "generals", the mutants with a name (Callisto, Arclight, Pyro, Jean, Juggy, Madrox, Quill) so it stands to reason he was also one of his "generals".

Perhaps they intented to put him in the movie but his role was cut after that scene was shot.

I think that he was supposed to be more of an easter egg cameo instead of an actual role in the film.

Man, now I might actually have to go buy this movie.

Seriously, the first two were slammin', but Ratner really dropped the ball with X3, to my great dismay, as well.

No, arguments here. Well actually I thought all of them were average actually, but I know alot of people really liked 1 & 2.

did I just time travel back to a year ago?

Yeah, we are kind of raining over flooded ground here I guess, heh'.

there, has been speculation of that guy, possibly being a gambit cameo. gambit was in one of the earlier versions of the script, as being one of the mutants Magneto breaks free, and joins him, the forest scenes was one of the first things they shot, so, it is possibly that he was there as part of the cast, but, then they wrote the character out, but, didn't reshoot that scene (just to edited out someone in the background you see for 2 seconds). I personally wouldn't of wanted to see gambit as a small role cameo, or being a member of the brotherhood, so, I am glade he wasn't in it

and in the background of this shot, you can see a guy(?), with longish hair and black jacket that might be him(?)(is hard to tell, cause to can really see his face)

like i said, if that was supose to be him, I am glad they edited him out (that's not really the look i'd want for gambit, anyway)

He's a sucky looking Gambit

It's not Gambit. It was supposed to be Avalanche, that's what Zack Penn said

He looks like an Emo Gambit. :o

Rodrigo Santoro for DA CAJUN MON A MI!!! :)

there should of been a mutant who has the power to pace films and create better dialogue along with plot......

Yeah, this has been talked on before...I've never heard a straight answer about the character..

my resolution on this- its an extra. Ratner said he put him up there because he looked cool

That´s another thing i don´t get. They made such a fuss about bringing in more mutants and how they could not introduce Gambit because they already had 730983938 mutants in the movie. Ok i can understand that but then why didn´t they even bother with introducing mutants fans actually know (who is that sharp skin guy?) and having them do something. Psylock for example was a complete waste. And then they had the nerve to actually kill her. Now Penn says that guy with the trenchcoat and the long hair was supposed to be Avalanche. Then let him freaking do something so we know!!!

Show us your source.

We have NEVER been given an official and perfectly straight answer on who that guy is and why he was standing up there with the rest of the main BOEM!:o I honestly think that is Gambit and the creative team feels too afraid to admit that b/c they know people are gonna rant and complain about his look and screentime. Look at how Penn just complained about the negative feedback his X3 script recieved.:whatever:
