Sequels "Gambit" starring Channing Tatum?

A screenshot of Channing Tatum from a movie where he's supposed to be playing a meat headed dingus as proof the dude can't play Gambit. Not sure that adds up.

He might be successful if they turn it into a beefcake-flic and make it like "Magic-Gambit" and just make it for the ladies. If I was a money man behind the movie I could see that working better than counting on his acting chops. I'll reserve more judgement after I see how this new movie of his "Jupiter Ascending" does.

I think there are plenty actors like Heath Ledger, Andrew Garfield, Ian McKellen to prove that looks don't matter. And I also think there is also Matthew McGonaghey to prove beefcake-flic actors can in fact act.

I'll reserve judgements after watching the movie, which I consider the most reasonable and sober thing to do. Or at least wait for a trailer to have some thoughts about it.

I haven't watched Foxcatcher yet.

I'll reserve judgements after watching the movie, which I consider the most reasonable and sober thing to do. Or at least wait for a trailer to have some thoughts about it.

I actually think good looks hinder actors more than help most of the times. People can identify with flawed characters, De Niro,Willis, Sly, Schwarzenegger, Walken all had flaws that made the person soooo much more interesting. That flaw made you want to see that person act because you could identify with the actor. McGonaghey is rare exception imo but also I don't believe he is that great of an actor, I'd rather use Bale as an actor that is handsome by the majority of the GA standards and is a great actor.

Thing is Gambit is a good looking guy and a ladies man, it would make no sense if he was butt ugly and unappealing to women, it wouldnt be in fitting with the character.

yea honestly I really don't see the interest in him, I thought the costume was sooooo West Coast Avengers looking :P that hideous period where everyone made teal and violet costumes was a dark age in comic history :P

Yes. Channing Tatum is also a very good looking guy. They didn't get an ugly guy to play him. Now we can only wait to see his performance.

Well I meant the really GREAT actors hence why i thought McGonaghey did not fit the class of "great" actors. He did real well in the last one where he was an AIDs victim but he had to seriously degrade his good looks to pull that role off. 90% of all actors are very good looking according to large segment of the population but 90% of all actors are just mediocre to good actors, not Great.

I mentioned Garfield because of looks. When he was cast, a lot of people didn't think he looks like Parker. And thought he was "funny looking".

Gambit will be replacing Wolverine going forward until the reboot. I can see Jackman doing two more solos and two more team ups max but Gambit's gonna be a lot of people's new favorite soon

Definitely up for debate. I feel The X-Men post Hugh Jackman will be a more evenly spread diverse group. Where hopefully Alex/Sophie is the main character overall. But the cool guy whose not the leader but a lot of people like will be Channing Tatum. In my opinion of course

I think people need to accept

1:The time travel In DOFP Is closest thing to reboot the series is getting anytime soon.That was reason behind kind of wiping out trilogy adn first 2 wolverine films
2:Wolverine Is most popular X-Man.They will recast at some point.With Fox going for spin-off films I just don't buy the assumination after new wolverine
film Fox won't use wolverine again In films.
3:Noone really knows when Hugh Jackman will quit wolverine.Is it possable he bails after supporting role as horseman in Apocalypse and new wolverine solo film? Of course but it's possable after new wolverine solo film that's last solo film for him and he does at least 1 more team films.It would help if they stop trying to put shirtless scene in almost every film for him

Even in comics gambit solo books didn't have the longnivity of wolverine.
The thieves and assassins guild mythology is enough to sustain solo film for gambit and possibly a sequel but beyond that If Gambit doesn't show up In Apocalypse he needs to show up In Main X-Men films as soon as possable.

Gambit will definitely be a X-Man. His spinoffs after Gambit 1 doesn't have to be exclusive to Louisiana. He can definitely fight X-men vilians with assistance of his fellow X-Men like Cap 2 & 3 will. Actually all 3 Cap films have heavy assistance to the main character. Gambit should be no different just have fellow established X-Men assisting.

Hugh Jackman hopefully has 2 more solos 3 more team ups and 6 more quick cameos in him. I don't want him gone but channing imo is coming for the top spot behind Jlaw

She's gonna need a tentpole after Hunger Games is done. She can do Solo Mystique while working on her side passion projects. She's #1 Female fox is going to back up the truck for a Mystique solo in 2017.
