"**** Sony"

"Sony is screwed"

"Sony sucks"

"The 360 pwns"

"Nintendog for life"

"Sony is stoopid"

Thats what I usually see when I come on these boards. Frankly its kind of stupid because of one thing: Brand Loyalty in gaming does not exist.

Hear me out:
How many of us have an X Box? A PS2? A Dreamcast or a Gamecube? I'm sure everyone has a console of choice but is that any reason to diss an entire company because they're "Screwing the fanboys"? Or better yet, because they don't have that console?Nearly 70% of gamers never stick to one console of gaming device. I myself still play with my Gameboy Advanced and Neo-Geo Pocket despite having a PS2. I switch it for my cousin's X Box from time to time and whenever I feel the urge to play Power Stone, I dig out my Dreamcast from storage to feel old Sega glory again. None of us can truly claim to stay "loyal" to one brand or gaming company. It's virtually impossible.

And the best part is, most of the guys who go: "**** Sony" or "the PS3 is screwed" usually end their lambasting with "I'll probably get ONLY when the price goes down" or "I'll get when it gets cheaper". In other words, they'll get it anyway. Sony seems to be getting th most heat. Granted, their marketting schemes and price range are ridiculous and I'm sure all of the "hardcore" gamers out there are sticking needles into their "Krazy Ken" voodoo dolls because they'll miss the vibrating feeling in their hands but who am I to deny them their hate. Face it "fanboys", think long and hard and you'll know that you've been playing with something else, be it a handheld, a PSP or even a Saturn. And *THWIP, sorry to burst your bubble but that Spider-Man avatar? The Spider-Man movies? All made by Sony. Makes you wonder doesn't it?

You're a dumbass.

Spider-Man movies, made by sony?

AHAHAHAHA!

Dumbass.

Ha ha ha: Columbia Pictures OWNED BY SONY PICTURES

AHAHAHAHA

Dumber ass. 'Course I should have expected anything less from a guy who uses Sasuke as his avatar.

So 'Sony' made the Spider-Man movies?

You're so dumb dude.

Dumb.

And its dumber when a guy posts a reply that has nothing to do with the topic so yeah, I guess we're stuck in the same boat. Hey I've got matching "I'm With Stupid" T-Shirts with inverted arrows, want one fellow dumb****?

Brand loyalty does not play any part in hating what SONY are doing right now.

SONY are screwing everybody. They are treating us like braindead monkeys that will buy anything they make simply because its PLAYSTSTION.

I doubt anyone here is brand loyal. Its ofyen a stupid thing to do, especially in gaming.

And the best part is, most of the guys who go: "**** Sony" or "the PS3 is screwed" usually end their lambasting with "I'll probably get ONLY when the price goes down" or "I'll get when it gets cheaper". In other words, they'll get it anyway.

Yes, one to three years after release when the price drop hits and the very few games they want have come out for it. That means slow sales growth and less profits for SONY. They will also buy less games for it if they can get the same game for the X360 at a cheaper price, thats even less profit for SONY.

Sony seems to be getting th most heat. Its not hate at all. Most of it is dissapointment that after two good consoles SONY have filally lived up to their name in Consumer products and decided to try and screw gamers.

Face it "fanboys", think long and hard and you'll know that you've been playing with something else, be it a handheld, a PSP or even a Saturn.

You keep calling us fanboys because we are not pulling the line SONY want us to. You however just made a stupid rant about how much we suck because we are not happy with SONY... Oh and something about brand loyaly that made no sence withing your argument

And *THWIP, sorry to burst your bubble but that Spider-Man avatar? The Spider-Man movies? All made by Sony. Makes you wonder doesn't it?

SONY didnt make it, SONY PICTURES (a totallly different division to SONY COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT) they Put up principle funding and provided the resources for SAM RAMIS production company to MAKE the film.

Sorry to burst your bubble but THWIP* likes SONY. He has two threads on the front two pages talking about PS2 games. Just because he is vocal about his distaste for how the PS3 is shaping up does not mean he hates SONY.

Seriously, this is the worst thread ever, you even beat all of ZEN's pro PS3 threads with this single thread

LMAO Mentok

You said it all fantastically. It's about sony treating us like idiots after supporting two consoles and a psp.

He does have a point though, it is kinda lame to say '' but ill still get one'', because then it shows sony they CAN do what they like.

This thread sucks more dick than Michael Jackson in Toys R Us :o

Ironically, it's usually MS fans that only have 1 system.

Yeah, I'm not brand loyal. I really don't have anything against Sony...I just rather get a 360 and a Wii instead of, more than likely, paying the same amount for a PS3. :o

I love my 360, it will be my favourite console when dead rising, bio shock and others are out. It has the best line up of games imo. I also own an x box. But I also own a ps2, psp, psone and game cube (and thats just the consoles i still own).

For me, it has nothing to do with brand loyalty. It has everything to do with "What next-gen console has the most games I want to play on it?"

And since I'm blue-collar, I don't get to swim in money. After the stuff I have to pay, I save the rest with a little to spend for a tradeback comic book, a book-book I wanted to get or a used game.

By MS fan I meant MS Fanboy.

It's not brand loyalty to be pissed off at a company for lying ALL the time.

I remember when the PS2 was coming out and Sony was claiming it could put out the graphics of “The Phantom Menace” in real time on the PS2, among other lies, I almost bought into their ****. Now they are starting up their lying train again trying to dupe people into getting the PS3. I’m not falling for it Cell Processor meet the Emotion Engine.

It’s not brand loyalty to be pissed off at a 600 dollar price tag, that’s too much, and if the PS3 is a giant success we can expect to be paying at least that for every system next generation.

Oh and I’m sure THIWP doesn’t need me to defend him but I don’t think he hates all of Sony he does if I remember correctly have a Sony television.

Yea i deff dont think THWIP* hates Sony. I think he, like alot of ppl here are pissed with the price tag for the ps3 as well as some other questionable Sony marketing moves. I think everyone here who is bashing the PS3 needs to get over it. Who cares? Dont buy the system, dont buy their products. If ya dont like what Sony is doing, dont support em, simple as that. If ya dont wanna pay big money for a PS3, dont get one.

right... why spend 400 bucks when you can get basically the same for 600? oh, right, you're paying for potential.

I dunno some girl, I did a google image search on "Got Milk" and she came up.
