"**** Sony"
"Sony is screwed"
"Sony sucks"
"The 360 pwns"
"Nintendog for life"
"Sony is stoopid"
Thats what I usually see when I come on these boards. Frankly its kind of stupid because of one thing: Brand Loyalty in gaming does not exist.
Hear me out:
How many of us have an X Box? A PS2? A Dreamcast or a Gamecube? I'm sure everyone has a console of choice but is that any reason to diss an entire company because they're "Screwing the fanboys"? Or better yet, because they don't have that console?Nearly 70% of gamers never stick to one console of gaming device. I myself still play with my Gameboy Advanced and Neo-Geo Pocket despite having a PS2. I switch it for my cousin's X Box from time to time and whenever I feel the urge to play Power Stone, I dig out my Dreamcast from storage to feel old Sega glory again. None of us can truly claim to stay "loyal" to one brand or gaming company. It's virtually impossible.
And the best part is, most of the guys who go: "**** Sony" or "the PS3 is screwed" usually end their lambasting with "I'll probably get ONLY when the price goes down" or "I'll get when it gets cheaper". In other words, they'll get it anyway. Sony seems to be getting th most heat. Granted, their marketting schemes and price range are ridiculous and I'm sure all of the "hardcore" gamers out there are sticking needles into their "Krazy Ken" voodoo dolls because they'll miss the vibrating feeling in their hands but who am I to deny them their hate. Face it "fanboys", think long and hard and you'll know that you've been playing with something else, be it a handheld, a PSP or even a Saturn. And *THWIP, sorry to burst your bubble but that Spider-Man avatar? The Spider-Man movies? All made by Sony. Makes you wonder doesn't it?
