Sci-Fi Gareth Edwards reportedly in talks to return for Jurassic World Rebirth sequel

The original novel was much more R-rated but if they were to do a more faithful adaptation it would have to be its own separate thing, and preferably a miniseries rather than a movie.

Hammond was a one dimensional villain "greed is good" type while Ellie was just a window decoration.

I guess to your point, I don't remember a whole lot about Ellie in the book but book Hammond was El Bastardo.
She does more in the movie than the book. The film writers deserve a lot of props for expanding these characters.

I don't think they need to go horror but the original has some intense scenes like the T-Rex escape or the raptors in the kitchen and when you saw those you actually felt some tension and stakes. It makes sense why they have focused more on the fun for the family adventure aspect of the franchise, I just wish we got better writing.

You don't have to turn it into an R-rated franchise to make good movies. That's a cop out excuse. There are plenty of good PG13 movies and this franchise has been PG13 from day one. Write a better movie. If you want R-rated Jurassic Park, then make a new Dinosaur movie that's R-rated

I meant make it rated R because you’re talking about walking apex predators who move faster than most animals on earth with huge teeth and lots of them. Stop treating these dinosaurs with disrespect and dumbness. You don’t have to make it rated r, or have a high body count, but these dinosaurs need to be portrayed as the most dangerous animals to hit the screen. Go for Alien tone. Massive a character driven movie with dangerous monsters in background.
