"Get a load of Milk!" advertisements are pissin me off!

Every page that loads I get a stripping genee, an armless kid trying to get a tooth out or a DJ that turns so fast he burns the discs then a cow that says "get a load of milk" It's annoying an covers 1/4 of my freaking screen. Malice, can something be done about this?

Morg I hope you aren't serious? It's not a popup, I even posted screencaps if you can't see the difference between a popup and an ENCRYPTED flash-advertisement maybe you should stay out of the Tech Support threads. Or at least refrain from irrelevant and witty remarks such as that one and the other one you posted. The tech support isn't the community forum, we come here to get help with tech stuff not to tell little jokes, snicker, high-five your buddies and then walk out with no contribution to the topic, because I believe that's called spam (look at the definition in the FAQs) if you have the power as a Mod (which I was under the impression mods do not) to block ads like this or can write a script for grease monkey that would be awesome.

If you want to contribute with how it's working for you and providing the OS, explorer etc that you use THAT would be useful however, witty comments like "next complainer is banned! " aren't very helpful and don't contribute to the conversation at all.

PS: Malice, I think it only comes up with FF (unless IE, Opera and other browser users are getting it too) so would you know how to write a grease monkey script for it?

I agree with A-Man. Those milk ads not only get around standard pop-up blockers but appear on EVERY page and right where the forum catagory links are. Really annoying.

Oh yeah and the wonky code that those milk ads use also corrupts all gif images from running when the milk ads finish their animation. Something isn't right.

Have you tried using Adblock PLUS? I use that and Firefox and I haven't seen an embedded ad ever since I downloaded it.

Adblock doesn't get rid of encrypted ads. You'd need a decrypter such as GreaseMonkey with an HTML code excluding the advertisement, and I've never used GreaseMonkey. Again, it looks like it's only an issue in Canada, btw it just came up again.

Adblock Plus lets me get rid of encrypted ads All I have to do is click on the ad and click "disable."
