Ghost Rider IS Being Screened

Okay, that's a valid reason to hate the movie I guess. Of course, we'll wait to make our own judgements. I can say that from what I've seen so far, I like the characters created. I haven't seen a lot but... I do like what I've seen.

Just one man's opinion. I liked the Ghost Rider stuff, but hated everything else.

WELCOME TO THE HYPE SHINOBI,:D  SORRY TO HEAR YOU DIDN'T LIKE THE FILM, TO EACH HIS OWN I GUESS!!!:( :ghost:

No worries. We don't hate those hate the film... as long as they've at least seen it. For me, it's all about the Ghost Rider stuff anyway. The rest is just filler. LoL.

BE CAREFULL SHINOBI SOME OF THESE PEOPLE IN THE HYPE ARE CRAZY!!!

"LOOKS IN THE MIRROR!!!" :oldrazz: :D :ghost:

lol. Thanks for not being too harsh on me considering my first post was negative!

No problemo. We're a civil bunch here in the GR section of the hype. We don't mind negative posts. It's those who are asses delivering the negativity that we dislike.

Again, welcome aboard. I look forward to comparing opinions when I finally get to see it. By the way, where and how did you see it?

Not a problem, We all have our opinions, just when you base them on HEARSAY is when we jump on you. :D

Got absolutely nothing against someone voicing their opinion on the film when they have actually seen it. It's when they haven't that I get peeved.

:yay:

Saw it last night in L.A. at the press screening. Avi was there wearing a Punisher t-shirt and did a small introduction as did producer Gary Foster.

Hey, I'm a huge mark for comic book movies, but after sitting through Fantastic Four, Daredevil, Elektra and now this, I'm starting to lose faith in the adaptations. Luckily 300 will bring me back. lol

Mark, a lot of us are just as attached to this movie as you are (well almost) and get equally pissed over crap like this. People have wanted to hate this movie forever and now that they actually see a good product coming, they're runnin' scared... so I believe anyway.

Either way, we're faithful that it'll be strong. Sleeper Hit. No doubts.
Perfect FH. Couldnt have said it better than that!!!!!

^ Excel you're obsessed LOL. Don't worry I haven't forgotten. It will surpass 40 million in 4 days. Where do you get this tracking at 40 million? Show me where you tracked this???

Edit: Please don't say HSX.

the same place movie studioes do. the bet isnt that it will top 40 million in 4 days, it was thatd itd beat daredevels 46 million. i imagine trackign will be roudn 43-44 next week.

Well, first of all, welcome to the hype shinobi.

Care to elaborate on how it sucks? We're all ears.

$20 says "shinobi" is just a gutless DC fan/GR hater who created a new account just to bash this movie. Next time have the balls to attack something head on.

Welcome shinobi and jgat...nice to see new faces around. (not literally)

I am REALLY digging all the positive reviews...only 1 week away for us!

CAH

What exactally didn't you like about it? Like, what did the actors do that made you think the acting was ametuerish and such?
Just wondering, because when you say it's not the best, I was curious to what you didn't like about it. What didn't you like about the plot, or flow of the story and that kind of stuff.

I'm not changing my stance. I was thinking Daredevils 3 day total of 40 million which was stuck in my head. Got my wires crossed. I know what our little bet is. It'll easily beat Daredevils 4 day gross, and 3 day gross for that matter. :) I don't want to get in what quantifies easily either. You know what though if it makes 40 I'd still be happy. I think you're gonna be surprised. :)

Anyone know the screen count yet???

I actually love the character of Ghost Rider. I don't understand how saying I didn't like it is different than attacking it head on. I'm not going to write up a fifteen paragraph review of the film.

Well, like i stated earlier, the Ghost Rider scenes themselves were just fantastic. But that's only about 30 total minutes of a two hour movie. The rest came off very forced. The dialogue was just goofy, and the actors didn't deliver their lines with any type of passion. The quick cuts and ham acting killed it for me. I have to look at the whole movie overall, and not just love it to death because only a third of it was enjoyable to watch. It's just my opinion. It's no more valid than anyone else's when it comes to movies. It's just what you get out of it, and if you enjoyed it or not. Some people hated Superman Returns but I loved it. It's tit for tat.

After “Spider-Man” with “Ghost Rider” a further famous Marvel Comic for the canvas one adapts. In a hell, which shows up from its darkest side, Nicolas Cage plays masterfully a tormented soul, which always the bad is and creates usually property.

It is Johnny Blaze, specialist for motorcycle Stunts in the second generation, to which once at Mephisto sold itself and Roxanne friend had to leave, in order to save the life of its had an accident father. At night Johnny becomes the “Ghost Rider”, a merciless revenge spirit. Mephisto sets it on its son Blackheart, which wants to push its father of the throne and to establish a still crueler hell…
Revenge and retaliation

“Daredevil” - Macher Mark of Steven Johnson sends its star ensemble with sovereign hand by a speed-rich, fiery pageant.

After obvious motives of “fist” developed this packing and darkly told history over revenge, retaliation and Kraft of the release, which gives Nicolas Cage in its first Comic filming the opportunity to give for the first time since “the legacy of the temple knights” again so correctly gas. I've been waiting for a Ghost Rider film ever since I heard and read about the character. Johnny Blaze. Ghost Rider. Hell on two wheels.

At first, I was really skeptical about Nicolas Cage's casting as Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider, but in truth he manages to pull it off really well. His own chemistry between Johnny Blaze and Ghost Rider is a seamless transition that will keep the character memorable and engaging.

Good effects, although nothing jaw-dropping, aid a lot of the action in this film. It's a furiously quick, action-packed comic book film that is dark enough to satisfy most. The plot is dark and stays fairly faithful to the comic books; Ghost Rider may give birth to an evolution of the comic book film paradigm. However it seems as though *some* parts of the background of Johnny Blaze were a little thin; probably trimmed down in an attempt to keep mainstream viewers interested, without boring them.

The final climatic fight between Ghost Rider and Blackheart doesn't leave anything on the table; you'll have to see it to believe it. Well done!

All in all, Ghost Rider is a fun, energetic comic film that will appeal to both fans of the series and casual moviegoers alike. It probably won't generate the same hype and box office success of a larger brother like Spider-Man, but this is the film that comic book fans have been waiting for ever since finishing with Spider-Man.

A Wild Ride! Well Done!, 8 February 2007

Yes, I've seen it and everyone involved in the production should be proud to know that their movie can stand toe-to-toe with the likes of non epic comic films (X-Men 1 and The Crow and it's far better then Hellboy or any of the Blade films) The special effects and action sequences are well done and the movie is worth seeing just for the "awe factor" alone. The cinematography was as beautiful as I've seen in this type of film. I didn't find the dialogue corny or forced. There was only one moment where I felt there was a forced, inappropriate line of humor. The acting was excellent, Nic Cage really came to play. They did a good job of giving these characters some depth and making you care about them, which can sometimes be hard in this type of endeavor. The villains, for the most part, may be the best I've seen in a movie of this genre.

Overall, I liked this film and recommend it to anyone who likes a good action movie with non-cardboard characters and WILD FX laced adventure.

A thrilling thrill ride that's...thrilling., 7 February 2007

I saw this movie at a special sneak peek at our movie theater yesterday and I could not believe it! 'Ghost Rider' is the best action/thriller movie of the year so far.

Nicholas Cage's performance is absolutely incredible. His performance (and the movie) is stunning. The special effects are awesome. And the motorcycle scenes (especially when it's riding on the skyscraper, as seen in a trailer for 'Ghost Rider') would be great in IMAX. I can't believe they aren't releasing it in IMAX. It would look so cool! I think this movie will be a great hit when it comes out in theaters. I'm hoping the box office for 'Ghost Rider' will be at least $150,000,000.

Like I said, the special effects are awesome. The way the creators made Ghost Rider is so cool. I love the design for the Ghost Rider character.

When I walked into the special sneak peek at our theater, honestly, I wasn't expecting much. I was just expecting a clichéd comic book thriller that would be a cheap, cheesy, B movie that would last in theaters for at least two months, but I was wrong. This is not a clichéd comic book thriller, and it's not a cheap, cheesy, B movie. It will last at least four months in the theaters...I hope so, anyway.

All in all, an awesome movie with cool (or, more literally, 'hot' (get it? Ghost Rider is partly made of fire? Tee hee! I know, that's not funny...)) special effects and awesome performances.

This is a must-see!

Official MPAA rating: PG-13: Horror Violence and Disturbing Images

My MPAA rating: PG-13: Horror Violence, Disturbing Images, and Some Language

My Canadian rating: PG or 14A: Violence, Frightening Scenes

Leaves you wanting more, 8 February 2007

Eva Mendes is so beautiful and absolutely breathtaking. She truly steals the show by captivating the audience with her radiant presence. The special effects were outstanding. The Ghost Rider character comes to life and depicts a rough riding bounty hunter. The story felt a bit rushed in comparison to the comic book and the (soon to be released) video game. For those who were worried about Nicholas Cage's performance can rest assured that he did an excellent job and was sporting a ripped physique. The only thing the movie was lacking was more time for the audience to enjoy more of what they received from the moment the movie started. Hopefully there will be a sequel in the works and the Ghost Rider legend will continue to be told on the big screen.

Closest Marvel Movie to Comic Book Yet, 6 February 2007
10/10

This film shows how versatile of an actor Cage can be. He demonstrates, to me, an Oscar worthy performance. The story line follows the original Ghost Rider comic book almost exact, not to mention it's an incredible thrill ride. The special effects are amazing. If you enjoy watching a film for its pure beauty, this movie is for you. Between the camera angles, transitions and scenery; it makes totally worth seeing. People may think that the entire Ghost Rider is CG the entire time, i feel this is not true, he looks to good, or maybe it was just amazing CG. I waited years for this film to come out. Now that it has, i feel that it was well worth the wait. If you don't want to spend so much money to go see a movie, or if you only see one movie a year, make sure this is the movie that you see. The story line, the acting, the soundtrack, and the SFX are so extraordinary. All in all I would highly recommend this movie to everyone.
