Ghost Rider IS Being Screened

Hey guys here's another site that needs to be straightened out now:

Post your comments guys.

I chimed in.

Those IMDB comments are very encouraging.

Yes, I've seen it and everyone involved in the production should be proud to know that their movie can stand toe-to-toe with the likes of non epic comic films (X-Men 1 and The Crow and it's far better then Hellboy or any of the Blade films)

looks like one of the online sites that helped push that gossip about no early press screenings was banned as a result.

..its unfortunate too. the site was actually pro-GR for a long time.
IMO...Sony should have let them take part in the screenings.

Good, those idiots deserved it. I mean thats a total below the belt type of gesture by them when they didnt even bother to contact Sony/Columbia.

Damn it's 12:05 here...6 more days to go! :ghost:

Well maybe they'll learn from this. ALWAYS make sure the storys you quote are true. I've noticed a few times that the Post has done stuff like this in the past.

I got free movie passes from a local theater owner tonight so I will be seeing it opening night with my family.

They reported what the NY times said were true. They're not the only ones who were fooled.

FH lets all hope there's a sequel and I'm hoping it made back here in Oz, it was great to watch GR being made, so I'd like to see MSJ, GSF & Avi making the nest installment in OZ.

So, I really don't want to look through 8 pages. I have quickly looked through alot of reviews (look good to me), but have all of them been good?

as expected more negative opinions on GR from CHUD...its not a review but an article by Devin Faraci on the whole screened/not screened for critics thing. he also takes a few swipes at MSJ

"I don’t hold it against Superhero Hype for buddying up with a filmmaker (although for the love of God, you should have picked a GOOD one)"
the whole thing can be read here:

Dang this story won't stop won't it? :( :down

This has become a textbook example of why I ignore sites like CHUD and most Internet reviews. There are so many agendas and personal bias that you can't help but get distorted reports and bias stupidity. How can anyone claim to be a rational judge of anything when their attitude BEFORE viewing a film is... "I imagine that responses will fall into two categories: 'That was shit' or 'That wasn't the ball-pounding experience I feared.' That second one is film criticism of low expectations, wherein a movie gets a decent review because, while it was bad, it wasn't as bad as you had been led to believe."

Gee, I wonder what this spiteful numbnut's review is going to be after he "impartially" views it on Friday. If it we me, I'd take away the free courtesy viewing and make him pay his $10 to inevitably bash the film.

:cmad:

I feel like kicking some CHUD a$$!!!!

MSJ IS an excellent filmmaker dangn't! Not just that, but he is a really nice guy anyways!!!

CAH

It's funny how corrupt some of these sites sound. Forming negative opinions about a movie they didn't see just because they couldn't get an advanced viewing and the questioning the credibility of Superherohype.

CHUD sucks! LOL It's basically a worthless site that can only get third hand information 99% of the time.

So, he hasn't paid any attention to the trailers. He seems to have forgotten that the summer had some seriously big movies marauding around. He isn't aware of the extra shooting that took place and the extra time that was needed to perfect the FX. And he thinks a certificate is a surefire way of judging the qualiity of a movie.

Hmm. What a well-informed fellow he is.

:hyper:

They guy is 100% ignorant. It's funny how all these people with under 10 posts come out fo the woodwork to defend the lousy behavior of 3rd tier print journalists and low rate blog sites.

Well, I dont hold back my hate for Devin, the guy killed everything that was cool about CHUD when he was made a reguler contributer, driving me and many other readers away just because the guy has a hardline grudge against genre films.

But I gotta say he does put up a good arguement on this. Free passes the day before the release does not qualify as being all thay early to me.
