My entire collection revolves around Ghost Rider. It's all I do read.

You're referring to the Midnight Masacre crossover where Blade became switchblade after reading one of the darkhold pages. What he thought would be an immidiate distruction of all supernatural beings turned out to be him having to hunt them down himself and for every kill, he gained the deceased powers. I know this story very well. It's the story that created my obsession with Ghsot Rider.

What you are forgetting is that that by Switchblade killing Ghost Rider (not Dan as you said) he in turn destroyed himself. The hellfire ate him alive. He was consumed by the pennance stare and thus was destroyed.

So, you see, Ghost Rider cannot be stopped.

Exactly my point. Blade KILLED him 1st, and THEN he was destroyed. And it was DURING the time Ketch was Ghost Rider in his 1990 run, he was in fact the 3rd Ghost Rider. H was killed a SECOND time by Zarathos and was again revived later.

My point had nothing to do with the killing of Ghost Rider. I said he could not be stopped. If he were able to be stopped, he would be by now (and perhaps is because we don't know what happened to Dan or Noble Kale for that matter).

Actually, about Dan, he was the 5th Ghost Rider. Phantom Rider or Carter Slade, if you prefere is the first. The upcomming civil war era (1800's) Ghost Rider is 2nd, Naomi Kale is third, Blaze is 4 (though not really a ghost rider because Zarathos is a completly different demon than Noble Kale, the true spirit of vengeance) and Dan is the next. After that, there is Ghost Rider 2099 and then the 31st century Spirit of Vengeance... that we know of.

Look man, I know my Ghost Rider, especially the Dan days.

Ghost Rider (the 2nd version anyway, Dan Ketch days) was capable of bringing down Galactus with his pennance stare so, he pretty much can bring down anyone and to think other wise is just silly.

Bro, seems to me you're a bit confused here, because this post denotes BOTH that you claim Ketch was the 2nd Ghost Rider AND that he could bring down anyone. Both of which you now seem to be retracting. Ah yes, and 'taking down anyone' I'm sure that doesn't entail dying, which means you'd be wrong.

He was killed by Blade and Zarathos. He can and has been stopped.

Vengeance was always supposed to be more powerful than Ghost Rider, as far as I recall. He's like the Venom to GR's Spider-Man.

But the Sprit needs a host, kill the host and you stop the Spirit. 'Stop' doesn't mean destroy, but without a vessel there's no contest.

I'm sure FlameHead will counter with the fact that a new vessel can always be found. It sounds like if you go by his definition, GR could never be "stopped" unless all life in the universe were wiped out so that Noble Kale could never return to the land of the living in another being.

I'm starting to realize this. The base of it all came when he said GR could take on ANYONE and that thinking otherwise was 'silly'. Obviously if Blade's killing you, something's not quite right in the mechanics of that statement. And last I checked, getting killed doesn't quite fit in with the whole 'unstoppable' gimmick.

I'm betting he'd go with Kale over a Celestial Host.

Well, Celestials are *****es. Everyone knows that.

That brings up an interesting point, though. Celestials kill entire planets of living beings. How would the Penance Stare work on that? Would the Celestials relive the pain of all those beings' deaths? Would they even care, given that we've seen the Celestials stand up to literally everything without much effort? Personally, I don't think GR's Penance Stare would do much. Consider how much pain a human can suffer before dying, then multiply it by a few billion and compare it to the fact that the Celestials don't seem to feel pain at all...

Exactly. Ghost Rider's Stare obviously has limits, the Celestials aren't Frank Castle level guys. They engineer races and then exterminate those they deem unfit, if an attack could have been launched on a sense of guilt, I think the patheon of gods that tried to stop them before would have tried that route before they got their asses handed to them.
