Hi there,

My band Polarian have recently finished a song about Ghostrider called 'Spirit of Vengence' (Our drummer is a bit of a comic book nut). I am trying to contact Dave Jordan who i believe is the music supervisor for the film but am having little luck finding a contact address or email. Any ideas? The song rocks more than anything we have done before and we are really proud of it:)

By the way, Pelican are a f'in great band - kind of like a mellower Isis.

Thanks

Carl

Very cool to hear that, really.
When it´s finished, put the song here to the hardcore GR fans download it and bang the head!

No problem, look forward to hearing it! Best of luck to you.

Welcome to the hype Carl and best of luck to you with that song. It would be neat if it could make it into the movie. Be sure to keep us updated as the next few months go by...

Black Sabbath - Iron man

Rob zombie : Super beast , Living dead girl

AC/DC : Highway to hell , hells bells

Even though its been used over and over, and i despite the fact they are my fave band. I have to say that i would like to see AC/DC's Highway To Hell on the sdtrk. I think its very fitting and reconized by all. But i'll completely understand if its not and in other ways would like to see a more modern perspective taken. Bands like Static X, Disturbed, Korn, or System of a Down would be nice. Either way i expect it to be awesome. Can't wait!!!!! Everyone have a nice Pre-GR wait!

Found a little something here; http://www.vibe.com/news/online_exclusives/2005/12/vibe_awards_2005_uncensored/

Oh, and if anyone involved with the production of the soundtrack for the upcoming (read: 2007) release of the Ghost Rider movie, Kwame is looking for a job. Wearing a skull belt that paid homage to the Marvel Comics character, Kwame said “I guess I’m pre-promoting. Maybe I can get a song on the soundtrack. Anybody listening, I’m doing soundtracks, people!”

I don't care what's on it, but Nine Inch Nails' (one of my fave bands) Terrible Lie would work.

I hope this movie doesn't have too much music durning the movie (as in Daredevil). An idea I had was maybe an acoustic country song like the one from The Punisher would be nice for the GR movie.

Here's my list of bands that would fit on the GR soundtrack:

Avenged Sevenfold
AFI
TSOL
Slayer
Misfits
Tiger Army
Nekromantix
Alkaline Trio

I believe MSJ has actually said he's not going to use as many songs in the film as with Daredevil.

Yes you are correct. He did say that and I'm personally happy with that decision.

I like alot of Music in movies I thought Daredevil had the music perfectly placed.

Johnny Cash- Ghost Riders in the Sky
ACDC- Highway to Hell and/or Back in Black
Steppenwolf- Magic Carpet Ride or Born to Be Wild
Van Halen- Runnin with the Devil
Mettalic- For Whom the Bells Toll
Rolling Stone- Paint it Black
Ram Jam- Black Betty
Skynard- Free Bird
George Thorogood- Bad to the Bone
Alkaline Trio- Armageddon
Animals- House of the Rising Sun
anything by Judas Priest, Rammenstein, Andrew WK, Prodigy, and/or System of a Down

Agreed. The songs seemed a tad overwhelming in DD.

Back to the thread topic, even though it will never happen, I think some orchestral black metal would sound pretty awesome. Dimmu Borgir, baby!

Something about the big orchestral sweep on top of those double-bass kicks...ooooh! :D

From MSJ...

In regards to the songs, they have yet to be finalized but you can expect classic and heavy rock. I made some great friends in Melbourne, Australia in the band Spiderbait and they'll be doing a track for the flick as well. There's more coming up but just talking at the moment. I'll keep you posted. As you can imagine, I get PMs regularly from people pushing their friend's band! Lots of CDs come into the production office.

"Classic and heavy rock" ....whoo hoo!!
sounds promising

... should the album even be on Wind-Up, like the last several Marvel soundtracks? Because I don't think they've necessarily been that great.. too heavy on nu-metal/nu-alt-rock types..

Spiderbait is a pretty cool band. I don't have any of their albums as of yet, but a friend has one that I've heard a few times. Good stuff.

They also did the cover of Black Betty that was used in one of the Dukes of Hazzard trailers, if I'm not mistaken.

They did a cover of that for the NFS hot pusuit 2, I knew I recognized that name from somewhere.

1- Teething= Deftones
2- Wish- NiИ
3- Long Hard Road Out of Hell - Marylin Manson
4- Back In Black - ac/dc
5- Jump In The Fire - Metallica
6- The Trooper - Iron Maiden
7- Surfacing - Slipknot
8- Eye For an Eye - Soulfly
9- Holy Wars - Megadeth
10- Policia - Sepultura

Just to name a few :ghost:

P.d: who can help me put my avatar?
