Just gotten into Rob Zombie. He loves his horror stuff and his music's thumpin'. It'd be a perfect accompaniment for GR screaming through the city streets with the cops on his tail.

I tell ya, if you listen to Judas Priest Metal Works 73-93 you will hear so many songs that you will just say, man that would be great in the GR movie. I mean Screaming for Vengeance, Hell bent for leather, come on.

Suicide would be a neat addition and a connection to the comics in a way. Suicide was a character from the 90's. A Ghost Rider enemy and ally.

I never actually liked Suicide as a character outside of his debut issue and his confrontation with Zodiac (a villain I though should have lasted longer, he was fun), so I'd go with Rollins Band for the song (if they go in that direction, plus I like them just a bit more than Suicide).

I still want Merzbow on the Soundtrack, but that's wishful thinking (since I'm the only one thinking that).

Still need to find out if the score will be released.

Hi guys, i'm afraid we haven't had much luck getting 'Spirit of Vengence' noticed as yet! We've been playing it live lately and it always seems to go down well though(seems a lot heavier live than the recording for some reason).

I really dug that song and would love to have seen it on the soundtrack. Maybe you didn't get 'the call' because the movie GR isn't really the Spirit of Vengeance (not this time around anyway!).

can we call this thread "ghost rider score/source music" has there been any talk of the other elements in a "soundtrack", effects, design, dialog...music is not the only component to a soundtrack for a film...sorry for the rant.

Just a quick question: in both teasers at the beginning the music is obiously "welcome to the island" from The island ost, and here and there you can hear the low throttle engine noise that was also in the comic con footage, but i can't recognize the music played on the domestic teaser when GR jumps on the top of the building...Could that be an original GR score music?

Gotta tell you guys,

Rob Zombie, or his previous band White Zombie, would be perfect for this movie. More music along that thread. Not that Hardcore screaming crap, and not that pansy drivel they put on the Punisher soundtrack.
Metal pure and simple, Motorhead, Ozzy, Zombie, Metallica's older stuff, anything that's metal, lots of hard guitar solos, bass riffs and so on.
We want a metal feel, not a hard rock feel. Some NIN would be nice in parts...

Also I love this thread, great ideas for new music to buy!

I'm probably going to get flamed for this...

I like metal, but I REALLY hope GR doesn't have a metal soundtrack. I love the score bit that went with the latest teaser, and that gives me real hope for the movie's score, but metal tends to make action movies cheesy. Granted, some action movies do call for metal, but it would just be so cliche. It would be like Blade, Spawn, and the Punisher movies were thrown in a gutter and magically congealed into Ghost Rider...anyway, that was my rant.

If I remember right, MSJ has said this soundtrack would be less 'songy' than Daredevil's.

It should open with "Ghost Rider" by Henry Rollins it was originally on the "The Crow" soundtrack back in 1994. This was probably one of the best soundtracks ever produced it was so good it was released before the movie opened and it ROCKED!!! The way Rollins belts out the lyrics of this song is sure to energize the crowd before the Ghost Rider rides on screen
