Ghost Rider: The Game(s)

I think they focused more on the special effects than everything else. There were a few spots where you couldn't understand what Ghost Rider was saying. The acting would've been ok, but the directing was sub-par which made the acting seem worse. I was really disappointed because I had looked forward to the movie a lot.

Ok, forget what I said about needing more time on Normal. I just beat the game in 2 hours, 24 minutes and 33 seconds. Maybe I should try Extreme next.

Did anyone think that Johnny Blaze game Blaze was playing in the bus on Playstation 2 looked better than the game we got...

1. Graphics
2. The way his body moved in the air was more realistic
3. It looked faster

^Yeah. I love GR but this game shouldn't even have played in my ps2. I just got it last night and I'm trading it back to gamestop.

Reading through this thread, you can actually see the game's novelty wearing off.

Anyway, the gba version is pretty fun, in an old-school beat-em-up way. The boss fights are weak, but it does include a level select.

^That sucks. I'm renting the PS2 version right now.

Currently I'm playing as Classic Ghost Rider, on normal difficulty, Chapter 3, On The Top.

Just beat the game on whatever difficutly setting you wish. You'll unlock Vengeance, Ghost Rider 2099, Blade and the cheat section.

When you beat the game on Extreme you'll unlock Classic Ghost Rider.

It says you can also unlock "ultimate Ghostrider" which makes no sence, since there isnt an Ultimate Ghost Rider.

Ultimate Ghost Rider is just a cheat option. If you turn it on you start the game with all upgrades.

so how you guys are talking what kind of rating would you guys give the ghostrider game.

Out of 10?

Ummm...probably a 6.5/10. Which is a good rating in my opinion.

Ghost Rider races onto mobile

For most of us, fiery vengeance is what happens the morning after an ill-advised curry.

That's not the case for Johnny Blaze, though. He wreaks fiery vengeance every night in his role as the Ghost Rider, an immortal motorcycle stunt rider who roams the streets seeing off evil gangs.

You might know him from his Marvel comic, but now he's got his own mobile game too (ahead of an upcoming movie) courtesy of Hands-On Mobile.

The core of the game involves racing the streets killing enemies using fire balls, shotguns and, erm, 'hell chains'.

You can do power slides and wheelies along the way, which build up a 'flame bar' that when full, gives you invulnerability, unlimited fire balls and a speed boost for a limited period. If only real-world motorbikes had these kinds of features.

The game includes story levels, where you eliminate enemy henchmen and then see off their boss, and bonus levels which are more about big stunts.

Ghost Rider
is out soon, and we'll have a review for you soon. Once we've recovered from that vindaloo, obviously.

FORMAT: News Package With B-roll.
STORY SUMMARY:
2K, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (TTWO), today announced that Ghost Rider, the action-packed combat and motorcycle video game featuring Marvel Comics' iconic supernatural superhero, is now available in North America for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system, the PSP(R) (PlayStation(R)Portable) system and Game Boy(R) Advance. The title will be available in Europe as the movie releases in different regions. The Ghost Rider video game reflects the stylized action of the successful Marvel comic series and Sony Pictures' upcoming Ghost Rider movie.
The game was developed by Climax and its storyline was authored by famed comic writers Garth Ennis and Jimmy Palmiotti. In the video game, stuntman Johnny Blaze is brought back as his alter ego, Ghost Rider, to protect others from experiencing his Hell on Earth. Ghost Rider haunts America's highways, inflicting his righteous wrath upon the souls of the wicked and the damned. The unique storyline takes Ghost Rider to a large variety of scenes and locations, while facing off against familiar faces from both the Marvel comic universe and Sony Pictures' movie.
"The Ghost Rider video game offers an exhilarating gameplay experience in a fast-paced environment. Ghost Rider can battle multiple enemies from the Marvel Universe using his trademark weapons, the Hellfire Chain and Hellfire Shotgun," said Christoph Hartmann, President of 2K. "Fans of the comic book series will love its true-to-form style."
Game features include: Ride the terrifying Hell Cycle, swinging Ghost Rider's chain at enemies and using the bike's powers to ride on water, boost over jumps, and power down under obstacles. Travel through several locations from the movie, including the Quentin Carnival and Caretaker's Graveyard and take a ride down the skyscraper that links Earth to the depths of Hell. Upgrade the Hell Cycle, gain new moves and increase Ghost Rider's stats using the essence of defeated foes as currency. Besides possessing superhuman strength, speed and durability, Ghost Rider can force criminals to experience a level of emotional pain equivalent to that which they have caused in others with his Penance Stare. Fight in spectacular boss battles with key Ghost Rider villains, including Lilith, which will put players' combat skills to the test. Unlock original Ghost Rider comics, artwork, "making of" footage and developer interviews. Extended replay value with bonus characters, challenging players to dig deep into the experience.
